The tengu is the only viable ship now to run lvl 4-5's.

Battleships/marauders all rely on drones to kill frigs.
Battlecruiser don't have enough tank
Carriers rely on drones

Thoughts?

edit: Maybe viable isn't the right word. At least it looks to be the best at missions still Blink

No.

Haven't had a drone even targeted in 2 nights of missioning.

Posting to confirm that having to recall drones every once in a while does in fact make them useless.

Also, OP is incorrect. Any gun ship can insta-pop frigates before they get in range. I almost NEVER use my drones on the Nightmare.

I fit two rapid launchers on my Navy Raven. It worked alright. BS rats did not do any damage to my light scout drones.

I will probably have to decline some missions, but a lot of them are still very doable.

Cerberus and Nighthawk seem to be doing sort of ok as well, at least with max skills and semifaction fits. Tengu should be a mit more universal though, Nighthawks has a bit short range for some missions and Cerberus has a bit too thin tank for some missions.

Have not tried BS post patch yet. After losing my Tengu last evenin to World Collide angel-sansha version (havent lost a ship in missions for over a year) I'm reminded that one should be a bit more careful after patches ;) Was surprised by the facft that almost all who are capable actually do use their ewar like webs n scrams. Upon warp in had a full agro + ~8 webs and scrams on me. Tengu is not very tough nut to crack without its speed.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.

Zero problems. even in missions that are currently broken to full room aggro like Vengeance.

I actually have to move my droneless Tengu to get into range on occasion, not sure if it's useful anymore. The love is gone, too. I might have to consider an affair with a Loki while my BFF Domi is in rehab.

:) i know how transversal works. So if you can give me a fit that can do all level 5 missions and have a web, that would be great! I don't care which kind of subcap ship since i can fly them all.

True, had this in 2 kinds of missions so far. So still pretty much usefull.

Don't do WC or use a passive fit tengu for it and you should be fine.
