New AI is great (RE: drones)

It seems that 90% of posts regarding the new AI are from high-sec-for-life mission runners who can no longer AFK their way to zero risk billions in pimped out fits.

I don't think the new AI goes anywhere near far enough to solve (what many of us feel is) the problem of high sec mission running and the large quantities of isk it generates, but its certainly a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. More importantly it adds realism to the game; if I were a rat and I were sat in my tiny little frigate I would certainly be shooting the drones of my aggressors battleship whilst leaving said battleships shields/armor to my battleship wielding brethren.

TL:DR

More realistic, more carebear tears, win.

Surely you're going to complain about how OP is an NPC corp alt. Oh wait, I see it now....

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

Because everyone who has billion pimped ships is obviously afking their missions and all. Tell me more how we all also afk autopilot too.

You can't tank enough if you are actively flying it(GASP/SHOCK/REALIZATION).

Judging by your post you must be a null/low bear. Please post with your main, oh wait, you can't troll with you main.

Go back to ratting in your null/low corner and just stop talking ****.

This is the most original and insightful troll I've ever read! I can't help but wholeheartedly agree!

CCP simply hasn't gone far enough. This has nothing to do with drone mechanics. It is about nerfing missions. To that end, I propose that all weapons be rendered ineffective against mission NPCs--all NPCs, in fact! Indeed, missions should simply be removed from the game entirely.

Man, that would really stick it to those people who choose to play the game in a manner I don't like. Screw those guys!

Now the missions are nerfed time to increase risk in 0.0 , so whats the problem ?

I fail to see how making hi-sec missioning less simple and comfortable will boost amount of subscribers and CCP's income.

Seems like the most tears comes from the null bears who can't run their beloved sanctums and havens, clearly a null problem.

Don't worry, once it was discovered it was not a hi-sec problem, the CSM hold an all night emergency skype meeting, discussing how best to do damage control while the devs fix the problem. Rest assured, there is a team of talented monkeys working around the clock trying to fix this problem, you can soon do anomalies is you pimped out carriers, which we all enjoy reading about on eve-kill.net.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Ironically, a Dominix (which I use) is now a better choice because of how the aggro system works. With a carrier, this is always an issue.

I do have a dominix. I was about to spend on a carrier.

*shrug* (BTW, we don't really run sanctums and havens here in the ~north~)

I haven't missioned for years, and don't really care about the changes. If it's hurting the bot's it shouldn't be a problem. But drone users do have some legitimate gripes about drone behavior and the drone interface.
If you're going to fix the AI of the NPC's, wouldn't it make sense to fix the AI of the drones? Or at least make them smarter than the dog-faced boy down the street?

I am not, nor will I ever be...Nicky Yo.... The question you should ask is.....When will they release the NICKY!

.

It is their choice on how to play the game ,it is not your game , flaming them will not solve anything , seems to me you jealous they can and you lack ths iskies and skill

on topic , been ages i ve done missions , but seems to me that they need to seriously adapt their way of doing missions
seems like gone are the days you warp in your mission , launch your drones and set them to rvrtything smaller than a BC while you fry the big ships, maybe that is good thing , maybe not

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire

I thought that this was a great idea of CCPs

Instead of buffing everywhere else just make l4s harder to run, slows down the isk flow, makes botting harder, forces people to adapt to more realistic combat.

And it makes the rest of EvE look more appealing

Well done CCP Smile

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Like afk mining you mean?

Anyway he can't be jealous of their AFK prowess, because, hehe, it's gone now. Thanks CCP ~

Not by running missions, but we can still exploit the major trade hubs to make zero risk billions while being AFK, partying in our pimp outfits.

Which would be good if that's what happened, instead we get a change that really only nerfs Gallente characters as they're the only ones likely to be facing rats in dedicated drone boats.

you forgot to mention all the characters in smaller craft that used to go in for easy money while all agro was on one ship allowing people to do l4s in a t1 frigate.

The change is merely that drones like ammo are expendable, you will adapt to changing combat situations, this is a good thing.

You do know that, longer completion time yields more ISK?
