So you know that guy in your aliiance?

You know the one who loves telling everyone how he has won Eve an always has an excuse for his long list of killboard deaths ..yes it always the FCs or fleet member fault which he is very vocal about up to the point of messaging the alliance leaders constantly trying to get your buddies kicked.....

Well guess what? ..someone just put a bounty on his head for 300 million.

...and here he is in fleet with you getting shot at by a couple of reds ..oops accidentally targeted him :(

How does this play out fellow capsuleers ?

Am I off the mark here? or does this add more depth to social interaction and trust mechanics :)

Pretty sure you wouldn't be in corp very long if " ..oops accidentally targeted him :(" came up that often.
Also you should probably remove friendlies from your overview...

Yes thats obvious, but its the new level of 'distrust' which intrigues me.

Atm you get some unscrupulous characters joining corps to infiltrate and steal assets etc. This is usually planned and put into practice over a few months.

Now you could have corp hoppers joining up and just waiting for a chance to claim that high bounty ..before moving on to the next corp.

Do you see what I'm getting at here?

I see a lot of fits with ECM Burst modules in future fleet fights...

Do friendly fleet members and corp members get the bounties just to confirm. If so then that seems like an oversight in the case of ECM bursts. I can see situations where the whole fleet are scramming their players with bounties before engaging.

I actually have not tried it by now. It is just a fact that you will show up on the killmail and so will have participated on the kill.

I used to put bounties on our corp directors heads all the time..

Sadly, I don't think I'll be doing that under the new system. :(

But look on the bright side, you are able to place bounties on yourself.

Seems right to me, otherwise some random scrub who completely failed to kill the target half an hour earlier would get some bounty by dint of being on the killmail.
