How about a setting to allow you to do anything you want except those things that would get you concorded. I would imagine a good majority of players would prefer this setting.

What do you guys think? Can we get any support behind this?

"when a ship is blown up, the pilot usually winds up replacing it. This drives the economy, steadies inflation, and gives industrialists a reason to manufacture. In contrast, creating isk while never losing any items has the unfortunate reverse effect on the market, plus it isn't really any fun." Jala

Uh, isn't that what the yellow safety setting does already? It lets you do anything that would make you a suspect (no concord) but not anything that makes you a criminal (concord).

If you're in lowsec, then being a criminal won't get you concorded, but you should be aware of when you are in low sec versus high sec. And be able to simply change your safety setting when you cross over the boundary, surely?

I've only been pvping in wh and null space a bit since the changes. I haven't tried low. But a corpie tells me that you cannot attack an innocent in lowsec with yellow settings. And certainly you wouldn't be able to pod them in lowsec while set as yellow.

However neither of these actions are going to get you concorded. 97% of the time I fly somewhere other than Hisec. I just want a setting that allows me to do whatever, ...just on those occasions that I don't realize I'm in highsec (and it does occasionally happen) , don't let me get oops policed.

You need to catch up on your safety settings:

Red == Can commit Any Acts, including Criminal Acts. If you are criminally flagged, and enter highsec, you get concorded. Criminal acts are illegally attacking a ship in highsec, or illegally attacking a POD in lowsec. These are the only two criminal actions in game, and both generate killrights on you.

Yellow == Can commit up to Suspect Acts. If you are suspect flagged, you are a legal target for everyone to engage, and if they engage you, you can legally shoot them back. Suspect acts include stealing from a can, Providing Remote Assistance to another person engaged in a PvP fight that while you are a neutral party, and attacking a ship in lowsec. You are prevented from doing anything that gives you a criminal flag.

Green == I don't want to be a bad guy. You are prevented from doing anything that gives you criminal or suspect flag. However, this doesn't inhibit you from PvP. You can still shoot Suspects, at which point they can then shoot back...
