[Totally] random client crashes. Any ideas?

So this has been happening for weeks now but for no apparent reason, EVE seems to freeze up and crash. It doesn't seem to be triggered by any particular event, it can happen any time! When I'm doing a mission, flying through space, afk in a base (CQ or hangar makes no difference), browsing market, it doesn't really matter.

Any ideas on what the deal is?

Running Windows 7 Pro 64 if that makes any difference...

I've been having the same issue for weeks also.

Haven't had any luck with a fix, even with a support ticket in.

One thing I've seen in common with the random disconnects, is everyone I've seem are running Win 7 64bit.

I've posted two topics about this, CCP have ignored both.

The game is badly broken and I have no idea what CCP are doing to fix it.

Right now I've been staring at login screen for 15 minutes on one account and re-logging doesn't help as I've already done that 11 times.

The other problem, that goes hand in hand with this is that my clients corrupt randomly. There's something wrong with the files in the bin folder and they corrupt. What helps is deleting the bin folder and the eve.exe file in the root of your EVE directory, followed by the stupid repair utility re-downloading all those files. You might have to do this several times until the game works. That is until you want to restart the game, after which the client can corrupt again and you're spending at least 30 minutes fixing the damned client.

If you are on limited bandwidth you're going to run into some serious problems.

I run win 7 64 and 32 and vista 32. still have random crashes on each machine. Game seems to lag and then most times crash.
Its not my isp as only 1 account will drop and the others will stay whether i am dual boxing or seperate comps.

CCP FIX YA GAME PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I never have issues reconnecting. It always just fires right back up without any problems... it's the disconnects that bother the hell out of me.

Hey there guys.

If the client is crashing randomly, it's best to start the excluding process.

* Update all computer drivers
* Check your memory using the built in memory checker for Windows or memtest86 ( much more detailed ) http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Crashes_and_lockups#How_can_I_diagnose_the_problem
* Run a defragmentation program on your harddrives ( scanning for corrupt sectors might also be a good idea, just to be on the safe side )
** More ideas can be found here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/wikiEN/index.php?title=Crashes_and_lockups

If none of these work then I can only ask kindly that you file a bug report with all available files, description of events as well as being as detailed as you possibly can so the developers can try locate the cause of this and hopefully have it solved as quickly as possible.

Detailed information on how to file a bug report and what files and details are needed can be found here: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Bug_reporting
