Worlds Collide Sansha/Angels, HOW do you do this ?

Soooooooo, i could do this in t2 fit apoc/maelstrom before. Now I had to warp out 3 times in my deadspace fit marauders(vargur/paladin).

The Sansha room:
Had to use pulses to kill tracking disrupting cruisers then switch tachs to kill off tracking disrupting battleships at 44km....

The angel room:
Warped in, tried to mwd away from things but you only go ~200m/s when webbed so there goes the whole tactic....
Can't sustain my pulse tank so had to drop the drones so they get scrammed and warp out......

How do you people do these now or do you just skip them ?

Bringing another person in does nothing as they get all the aggro and get popped.

I did the Guristas/Angel version last night in my Rattle, now im used to walking through this mission but now with all mobs locked and firing and most of the frigs scramming you, it certainly woke me up!

Within seconds my light drones were targetted so it was a case of pulling them back in and then releasing them again, got to the point where i was praying for their death so i could warp out.

Unless they change the whole room wailing on you at the same time i may give this high value mission a miss next time its offered.

Love the new ui changes though it certainly livens things up!

I warped in vargur, slowboated to gate (usuall I have mwd or ab but this time I had em hardener instead), activated it with hacker card from zor. In 2nd pocket I just poped everything before bses came into range. Meanwhile I used lights on frigs, launched/scooped them as necessary to keep them alive.

3rd pocket - full aggro from everything, all rats in range to do full dps. I overheated invuls, booster and guns, first I shot bcs, then bses nearest to me. Meanwhile using drones against frigs and scooping/launching them like madman.

That was with around 1050 gun dps (more when overheated), 90 drone dps. Around 700 (more when overheated) permatank.

Not going to do it again - very unefficient and dangerous. And sansha side is even worse for turret boat.

zbloki hacker card (dropped by zor from damsel in distress, etc.) lets you through the first gate without a fight, after that kill the supervisor in second pocket, loot the faction stuff and go to next pocket without further agro. In last pocket shoot the bunker, then warp out. 3 mins for 15,000 LP, favorite mission.

Nice plan. Only problem is, that since patch you get full agro from whole pocket right after warping in. Including instalock from around 10 high bounty frigs that have around 50% chance to scram and web.

Serious question:

what range are those frigs from you?

If they are below 7.5km you can use a smartbomb...

Damn..that means not even officer smartbombs will work.

Web + guns should do the trick then... If it's going to work like that, new setups are needed...

or

missile ships are, again, the new FOTM for PvE: less damage but more tank and immune to TD...

just found out this:

Could you give a timescale of when missions will be returned to normal? By this I mean that the rooms will go back to the staged aggro instead of full room which started after yesterdays patch. As it is, with the drone nerf, certain missions are simply not worth doing as its almost guaranteed suicide.

Before the moaners start, this is nothing to do with creeping into the 'aggro bubble' either manually or via warping, or via drones doing the same thing, this is a bug that was introduced yesterday.

I don't have any estimates but this has been noticed and is being investigated. Be careful out there.

Ive read on the forums somewhere too that ewar modules make you keep aggro which lets you release drones without them getting eaten alive, but i've not tested that yet. I doubt i will be able to hit frigs at 9.8km with even with a web and pulses, nevermind tachs. Ive got TE and 2 TCs.

Pulse paladin with web will maybe hit them, vargur not a chance. Also if I remember only angel spies stay at 9k, rest of the frigs come closer. Kill the ones closer first, drones are easy to scoop when attacking them, angel spies last. No idea about the sansha frigs.

Honestly, I had no problems keeping my drones alive, but it took its share of lauching and scooping. Annoying, but possible.

Ewar (and maybe rr too) attracts agro of npcs, so it will give your drones more time to do damage. Npcs still occasionally switch targets to drones or other players in mission.

Did this mission after the patch in my navy domi, yes having the whole room agro is entertaining, but then aint that what we wanted anyhows? Frigs are deffinatly a problem, i would suggest that anyone that previously had to use light drones for killing frigs change to smartbombs? i know there not the best weapon around but frigs are getting ganked way to fast, if you can fit mediums use them as there less likly to be shot at, it seems to be a issue with light drones at the mo, i know my heavys can easily kill frigs with out them switching agro.

Goes without saying.....but, you need multiple warps and switching pulses with tachs to get rid of the tracking npcs cause drones cant do anything about them now.

1st warp in with pulses = kill tracking cruisers close by
2nd warp in = kill tracking battleships which orbit at 44km

you can't do it all in 1 go.

No reason to turn down blockade (Angel and Blood Rider's at least) because it is predictable and usually there is full aggro anyway.
Serpentis Assault (did it on Kronos without problems, skipping first pocket but heard about people having problems there)
Vengeance
Silence The Informant
and other similar missions with NPC ship groups in close range should be avoided for now.

ITT: People using missile boats for missions with only Guristas to apply at least half of those mythical tengu dps (its over 9000+).
ITT: Most tengu lovers never fit webs to kill frigs. They spend 6 to 9 missile volleys to kill one elite frig. Nuff said. Most pilots of turret ships will pop frigates in range of 15 - 120 km with one volley and without useless web. In case of close range full aggro web wont help against frigate orbiting in 9 km range.
ITT: Tengu nerf has not even started with missile rebalance. Smile

Reposted since this topic is spread over four threads.

Concerning ‘Worlds Collide’: Granted I use a Mach with an MWD, XL Booster, Auto Targeting sys, and AC’s. In both the second and last room as soon as I land I turn the ship around and head up at about 45degrees MWD on and run for 3 cycles, Yes the frigs lock me but by the time they get a lock I am 25 km from them, locking up 10 targets (all of them frigs) makes the rest easy, kill all frigs kill all cruisers and BS’s as they close range. Use the MWD to pulse myself out of their range or back into my range.

Yes the Sansha spy will web you, but the mwd powers through it.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.
