This is a simple sugestion to CCP, that many have already posted here, but it is so simple that it passes unnoticed:

There is no reason for CCP to spend such effort in Sound and Graphics for the explosions if we can't See Them!!!!

If you are looking to a ship and it get killed, the camera (drone) instantly move to focus your ship. The suggestion is to Put a 3 seconds delay in this return, so we could actually see the ship explosion.

This also applies to your Ship, when it gets destroyed, the camera Zoom in to the Pod in such speed that lags all kind off Video cards and you can't see your ship exploding nor escape with the pod ( the zoom is so fast that it takes a couple of minutes to you realize that you got killed... so... keeping the same camera distance would be good.)

And since Retribution just got released, this could be released tomorrow as a fix for the explosion graphic update.

Also, this may be so obvious that it might go fast to the next page.... so if possible... put some comment in here to keep this up, enough time for CCP take note... ( And say something here )

IMO, this could eb nice, actually get to see the pewpew, but i dont think it would work with the current engine as your camera is fixed on a "point" (the target) and once that point is gone, it cant focus on nothing, so it returns to its previous point, now they COULD write in code to transfer the camera to the wreck for X-seconds after destruction, but something tells me they would manage to break someone very bad to break trying to code it.

Firstly, i second the idea, with one iteration; option to activate this delay or not as during fleet engagements ,managing logistics pilot, scouting and boosting toons whilst FCing, and target calling, would become incredibly annoying however for the avg fleet member who''s taking down someone or soling this feature would be great. (perhaps included in the new safety feature options)

secondly le code:
it depends ofc on how the initial camera system is set up if it is like the system suggested above then I would simply lower the speed of the camera focusing on your ship considerably, if it's via; for example a co-ordinate system related to the grid then it becomes pretty obv what code to put in, in either case I can't see a way this be overly hard to patch.

supported completely, the only way to make sure you see the explosion in all its glory at the moment is to use your right click camera function, and its hard to keep track of a moving object 10s of kilometers away with that function

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

Hmm, I didn't get this point.... Is it important the fast return in some situations? You could simply hold the ALT key and Pass to the next target as the main target disappear from your lock/overview, it is only graphic... the delay could be easily skipped with other look at command... Also the weapons would still stop as the ship is destroyed, the game mechanics keeps the same...

Also, I don't think that most FCs use the "Look At" command so often, especially on hardcore situations... they often prefer to have a far look tho see the whole situation... and micromanage with other tools like overview and fleet window. don't them?

with the 'fast return' point : if your in an engagement say a small gang and have multiple targets, having the option to look at the explosion for a certain time (time delay on camera) then to reset would come in handy.
the idea being you slow down the 'return speed' to virtually zero and the automaticly camera resets after n time of shiny explosion graphics. allowing the user to set this before an engagement , as I feel it would become annoying if one had to set this on every fight.

and yes personally I don't use the feature 'look at' at all when fcing , or in fact anywhere near my ship, mostly focusing on a tactical layout 300km of and using the ov ect to dictate the fight. this is why the camera delay or however you want to go about looking at the shiny effects would mostly be used by the individual player soloing gang fights or general dps running in large engagments.
