It was one of the first things i checked after Retribution was patched, indeed the mineral costs of T1 cruisers have gone up (exactly?) as with the test server numbers.

ex: Amarr Arbitrator

Inferno - Retribution
Iso 4184 - 8418
Meg 55 -106
Mex 18236 - 38824
Noc 1001 - 2100
Pyr 61844 - 96184
Tri 245790 - 424579
Zyd 229 - 523

Again, congrats~

Ship mineral changes speculation won't work anymore. CCP plugged that loophole with the extra materials column.
You saw this when they changed the mining barges.

Edit: What would work though, is ship stockpiling and gradual sell-off (as cheap stocks evaporate).

Apparently you have been living under the rock. I am sure that's exactly what OP is referring to.

Same as happened with mining barges.

Yes, I've seen some threads here in the forums about new mining shipbuilders asking about why the current prices are cheaper. (When the current materials list supposedly lists em to be manufactured for higher.) And maybe the mining ship stockpiles of some heavy industry corps is still around.. heh. The thought of your assets growing in value, while its just sitting somewhere, always makes me smile..

Sadly, I won't be in the position to fully take advantage of these changes.. maybe some purchases off the market for a small stockpile, meh.

Off to read about which BC is good-at-what then!

Battlecruisers will be affected, but the teir 1 battlecruisers are rarely used. Unless they have some huge plans to drastically improve the utility of them. The new BC's are all teir 3 so will get minimal effect from teircide. Drakes will likely get a bump in material costs, but I also expect to see a nerf to the drakes shields. I believe the impact teiricide will have on BC's will not be as linear as it was with cruisers.

Battleships however should see the biggest impact from teiricide. Currently an Armageddon cost about half what a Abaddon does to build. Last I checked an Abaddon sold for more than double the cost of an Armageddon. When Teiricide hits the Battleships, the mineral costs of the Armageddon should be brought up to be nearly comparable to the Abaddon. Considering a price difference of about 100 mil to almost 250 mil. the teir 1 battleships will go up in building cost by possibily over 100 mil per ship.

Big opportunity there for anyone with the resources to mass produce tier 1 BS's over the next 2 months. They may sell slow, but at over 100 mil increase in costs per ship I believe it will be well worth stockpiling them.
