This just popped into my head, and it has probably been discussed before, but why does the race with the shortest range weapons that need to be mounting the enemy ship to do anything have Sensor Dampeners as their EWAR? Why have a range reducing EWAR when you need to be right on top of them Roll ? I know this makes sense to those that kite with drones, but the Blasterboat users must be like "lolwut?" I think that Tracking Disruptors would be a much more suitable EWAR for the Gallente as many of their ships can speed tank and molest faces with blasters and void. I'm not asking CCP to change anything here, I just thought I'd say my mind.

Also damps are great are stopping long range Logi and ECM whilst you assault close range.
