As Alliance Executor, I can attest that there was enough ISK to cover the payment. Perhaps the Auto-pay got turned off or perhaps there was a bug. Either way we really don't care as long was we have explosions, which we do. If CCP doesn't give us back the name, I will offer 1 crap fit Rifter for it, thats what its worth. Otherwise, we can come up something else, perhaps more creative.

There is nothing to see here, move along.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that Dec Shield will no longer be able to trap people in mutual war decs' after tomorrow... unless they want to be of course.

You all realise that there's nothing to see here?

Red Fed - the corp - that everybody actually belongs to - still exists... so the war still goes on...

RvB worked fine for a couple of years with only the corporations, the only reason the alliances were created were so that RvB could play in the Alliance Tournament.

In fact RvB's preference would be for a Purple alliance, but game mechanics are such that you can't be at war with another corp in your alliance.

So, end result is likely to be a new holding corp so that Red can enter next year's Alliance Tournament - plenty of time to sort that out.

We're not entirely clear on whether or not we'll be able to keep everyone trapped. Nearly all the communication from CCP is ambiguous with their answers regarding this.

If the patch is as described in the patch notes without any changes, then this is the method we'll use, and you'll all still be trapped.

But earlier today a dev posted in the thread saying that we might be surprised that things got fixed. But I'm not sure if he's talking about their patchnotes that they "think" fixed things, or if they actually changed something not in the patchnotes. Such as splintered copies of wars inherit their parent war's starting time instead of the time the splinter was made.

It's too soon to tell. It'll be fun either way

There was an RvB - Purple Alliance and then you guys whined to GMs about them impersonating you and forced CCP to change their name. When infact all they were doing was maintaining wars against both Red and Blue side, to allow a 3rd party to enter the conflict with twice the targets.

LOL how to completely miss the point. A third party alliance called "Purple" is not the same as having Red and Blue under the same alliance. RvB would prefer to field a single alliance team for AT, therefore a purple alliance.

As I stated originally RvB doesn't especially care about alliances for day-to-day operations, we just need alliances to enter the _Alliance_ tournament.
