After a long time not playing eve I am getting back into, but I don't like my guys name. Is there away to change it at all?

No, name changes can only happen if your name is found to be in violation of the EULA. Only really new characters can petition for a name change and then only for typos or capitalisation issues.

Live with it or make a new character.

This thread in General Discussion is full of posts (some even from devs) discussing a possible name change feature in the future. Not sure if they'll implement it, but you can read up and see how we and the devs feel about it.

Not currently, no. Eve is a consequence-based system, in which you can build a name for yourself over time (whether you're trying to or not). Name changes would undermine that by allowing infamous people to have new covers, or people who have a reputation for being easy to pick on to be able to evade it.

At least, that's the reasoning behind how things currently work. The thread Merouk linked is quite a good discussion on how/why a name-change system should/would exist.

File a petition that your name violates something in your belief system then ask if they can change your name to Caldari Citizen 1 Cool

Don't start saying things like 'not currently'. You should be giving a flat out 'no' like you (ccp) used to. Removing 'meaning' will destroy eve.
