With an Obelisk selling for about 1.5B, what economics makes a one-run blueprint cost 2B?

Thanks.

The fact that you can have thousands of contacts up at one time with several alts and hope someone buys it thinking its a BPO?

It's simple, put up enough garbage buy orders and contract items and sooner or later someone falls for it. Same reason why there is so much scam spam in Jita, people wouldn't be doing it if there wasn't isk to be made.

This is kind of like asking, "Why do scammers still run the double your ISK scam?" Because there are still people in the world who haven't encountered it yet, and those that fall for it aren't skilled enough in common sense to avoid the pain of being stupid.

**Playing EVE at times feels like putting a 10000 piece puzzle together, enjoying the accomplishment of succedding in completing it, then having some random stranger walk by and flip your table over. **

Because PT Barnum got it exactly right.

I heard somewhere that "Greed is good." Can't remember where though...

Oh yeah, it was the people who designed this game.

Actually some of the double your isk scams are actually legit. They just have specific rules. The rules are written in a way that it is easy to miss interpret or slip up when you get excited after actually receiving the double isk the first time. It is the second or third exchange where many players fail to follow the rules. Enough players fail to fulfill the conditions of the rules that the few to get it right every time is only a small cut into her profits.

Personally I have played Irotica1's isk doubling game and actually made some good isk. She did not scam me. But I followed the rules. Also I posted on her forum thread when I sent isk, and again when I received the payment back. Not sure if posting the transaction made any difference. But I did get my isk doubled twice. And did not get scammed. Read the rules carefully each time.

I will not detail the common mistakes made, As I may use her services again. But if you read the rules, it is easy to see where some would forget a simple rule under the greed and excitement actually getting your isk doubled can cause.

CCP needs to get their cut. They will say oh dont do this or dont do that its for your protection. Really, I dont think for one second they give a crap about anyone. They only care that you pay your monthly fee and buy plex, etc only from them. They will allow scammers to run crazy in the game, but buy something with RM and they lower the hammer on you. They remind me of when the mob ran Vegas.

I'm quite sure the OP meant to say "why do people sell BPCs packs for capital ships when in the end you lose isk" and not some stupid double isk thing.

We are really dating ourselves.

I just recently watched Wall Street again after finding it in a DVD bargain bin. It probably wouldn't appeal to those without memory of the 80's.
