EVE has warped my online worldview

Recently my son (he's 7 and I'm not going to be exposing him to the hive of scum and villainy that is EVE) talked me into getting him a subscription to Lego Universe and I thought it would be a fun thing for the two of us to do together (and it is) so I paid for two accounts and started playing with him.

While playing it I've noticed that the paranoia that is so necessary in EVE bleeding through into my gameplay there. I regularly dismiss friend requests and group invites and just the other night some random guy tried to trade 1000 of the in game currency to my character which I turned down.

I wonder if other EVE players have problems transitioning into happy go lucky Carebear games after adapting to EVE, I suppose it's kind of a PEPD (Post Eve Paranoia Disorder).

The GOONS have infiltrated Lego Universe, their tentacles reach far deeper than we had originally thought. Big smile

You're not alone OP. I had to take a break from Eve for a while just to get rid of the apathy that was starting to set in so I tried a few other MMO's. I found myself trusting noone, turning down multiple guild invites, and even trying to manipulate the trade markets. lmao I finally decided maybe this is the place I belong. Twisted

Unfortunately, the player base of Eve has made me a much more apathetic and mean person. Seriously I attribute it to Eve, the soul crushing game I happen to love.
