When I get on the EU people are getting ready for bed, and the Americans have not gotten home from work yet. I mostly play with insomniacs and the unemployed.

Shocked

Not what I wanted to hear! I'm moving to the Atlantic TZ in a few months. I'm not too worried though because it can't be any worse than the Japan TZ.Straight

Whatever turns you on.

What is the relevance of a person's employment status or what time they retire to bed?

Just means you can make more ISK without reds ruining your day! Big smile

I have heard from past corp mates that it's pretty bad though, just look for a corp/alliance that has a lot of members in your timezone.

The issue is quantity not quality.

I have occasionally left work early to take part in a scheduled EU OP.

For people in Atlantic time, your best bet is to find a Corp that is strong in both EU and American time zones, as they will sometimes do OP’s for the overlap time when both groups can take part, and these are very conveniently timed for us Atlantic time zone people.

If I get on before work in the morning I can hang out with the Australians. And yes, it is probably better than Japanese time zone.

Join a corp with EDT players. Problem solved. I kinda like the fact that most people have already bailed by the time I get going in the evening. Makes my low sec activity more fun.

Welcome to my world. Straight The upside is, you get all the officer spawns and can travel freely around null sec for hrs on end post DT.

Just a question, does being one hour before US:EST make that big a difference? I live in EST, and typically login around 6:30 and it's pretty lively. I'm missing something here.

Working from home helps alleviate the pain.

Anyone got metrics on kills per hour over the course of every day of the week / month / year?

Hard to say anything 'trendwise' about how active pvp is during hours of the day without some facts to look at.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships
