really?

yes really

it would profoundly benefit the supercap market to have some few stations in the whole game where they could be docked and sold

it would benefit the owners of supers, people stuck in their hulls

it would be a great location for groups of all types to try to get a blap in

Supers need to die and giving them a nice snuggly doghouse where they can be stored safely indefinitely is not what I had in mind to make them die.

Supers and capitals in general are not meant to be personally owned. but supers especially are meant to be corp/alliance property and therefore require a POS. If you dont want to be in your hull anymore, drop it in the POS and either another qualified member of your alliance will take over the duties until you come back, or it stays there until the tower is sieged. Allowing capitals like this to dock would allow perfect safety for an already too common ship-class (too common in that there werrent supposed to be entire fleets worth of them in existence). Risk in these large and expensive ships is not supposed to end in combat, but in the mere possesion of the superweapon, and the negotiating fo sales contracts is part of that risk.


not to mention that any station that ahd oen listed for sale would NEVER be sold/undocked as people would just camp the station hoping for a ship-kill.


So no, i dont think supers should be able to dock, whether to facilitate financial exploits or simply to allow super-bears to sit in perfect, uncontestable safety, either way seems to me counter to the point of even having a super: High profile heavy weapons platforms (in toher words, having one lets people know your worth killing).

You forgot it would also enable them to be insured which would shift the supercap isk sink. And we would see a ton of ships that could never be accessed bc of docking rights.

Plus it would lessen the number of accounts needed (since many have one to sit, one to fly) so I would think CCP would be on the losing end if they implemented such a change.

I wonder however if the stations that "list" them would be camped all the time since they people would know there's a ship there.

There is a neat POS structure called the "capital ship maintenance array" it holds exactly 1 titan or 2 super carriers.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

None. At least no serious threats. Maybe gawkers, and they will be able to see a titan fly by for the 10 seconds it might take for the pilot to load grid and jump out under undock immunity.
