Corporation Icon Contest

Entries run from dec. 5- dec. 29 and the winner will be selected on new years eve. The fee is 50 million per corporation, and the Icon judged will be the one used at the time of entry. Corp. CEOs will receive prizes unless otherwise indicated. Entrants can accept cash value of the most expensive ship of each class in the stead of the ship.

First prize will be:
1 Black Ops Battleship of choice, 3 Stealh Bombers of choice, 10 Standard Battlecruisers of choice.

Second prize:
2 Standard Battleships of choice, 2 Logistic Ships of choice, 1 Stealth Bomber of choice

Third prize:
2 Stealth Bombers of choice, 1 Electronic Attack Ship of choice. and 50 million ISK

Icons will be judged on the ability to create a visually appealing corporation icon with the extremely limited amount of options given. Originality, Color (or lack of) use, and overall visual appeal are the genesis of a good Corp. logo.

You're holding a contest on logos that are created from a fixed set of icons given to us by the eve client?
Why not have an alliance logo contest instead? Then it would actually mean something.

There are only a small amount of alliances with custom logos. I consider this competition to be a nod to those who can create something aesthetically appealing with very limited resources like corp logos, which are dime a dozen. The more the merrier! Cool

Even though my corp logo is quite boring I would consider entering, assuming the OP gets it set up with a trustee etc. just for the spirit of it.

I will, once i find out how exactly. But that was my intention, its pretty hard to make a good looking corp icon, you don't have alot of options, whereas with an alliance logo- you can do whatever you want, add in the fact that fewer people have control of an alliance icon, whereas many people have control of corporation icons. :)

The first corp I ran with had a lobster logo I rather liked. Navigators of the Abyss. We were a bunch of noobs who really had no idea just how vast and complex the EVE world really was, but I'll always remember that corp.
