Adding it All Up: Wormhole Statics by Class

In the interest of getting a better picture of how all the jspace systems are connected, I went through all of the regions of jspace on www.staticmapper.com and totaled up where the statics for each wormhole class lead. I counted each constellation as one unit, rather than counting individual systems (I didn't want to spend all week on this...), so there are a few systems here and there that are outliers. This should, however, give an overall representation of how it's all connected.

Numbers listed are the number of constellations. (Numbers in parentheses are percentages.)

Class 1:
20 High Sec (61%)
10 Low Sec (30%)
3 Null Sec (9%)

Class 2:
5 High Sec (10%)
13 High Sec + c1 (25%)
14 Low Sec + c2 (27%)
7.5 High Sec + c3 (14%)
7.5 High Sec + c4 (14%)
5 Null Sec + c5 (10%)

Class 3:
16 High Sec (21%)
46 Low Sec (60%)
15 Null Sec (19%)

Class 4:
7 c1 (9%)
9 c2 (11%)
22.5 c3 (29%)
22 c4 (28%)
14 c5 (18%)
4 c6 (5%)

Class 5:
9 c3 (15%)
11 c4 (19%)
30 c5 (51%)
9 c6 (15%)

Class 6:
1 c1 (7%)
1 c2 (7%)
2 c3 (14%)
2 c4 (14%)
6 c5 (43%)
2 c6 (14%)

There are a total of 313.5 constellations, with between 6 and 9 systems in each constellation. Of these constellations,
33 are Class 1 (11%)
52 are Class 2 (17%)
77 are Class 3 (25%)
78.5 are Class 4 (25%)
59 are Class 5 (19%)
14 are Class 6 (4%)

Edit: Fixed a typo involving the Class 2 constellations with c4+HS statics.

Edit 2: Here are the raw data, for anyone who wants it. The forums mess up the hyperlinks, so you have to copy and paste the url.

No comments? One handy thing that I took away from this is that if you're looking for c3s from kspace, you should be looking in LS.

C6 with a c1 static... blimey.
Nice job here Vicker.

Interesting, no c4 and upwards have a direct empire exit. It's either by random/k-hole or adjacent system.

Yes, the C6s with C1 / C2 statics caught my eye also.

J151920 will probably be the C6 with Q317 C1 static. It's a cataclysmic system, and doesn't look terribly busy (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/J151920/stats/2011-09-26:2011-10-21) ... perhaps unoccupied.

J151325 is C6 with G024 C2 static. It's a pulsar system, and also doesn't look terribly busy (http://evemaps.dotlan.net/system/J151325/stats/2011-09-26:2011-10-21).

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

And what about class 2 systems with static high and class 4?

LOL, my favourite type of question. I can just make up an answer and throw it out there.

Let me see ....
- Around 2500 w-systems, and around 525 of them are C2s;
- Around 70% of the C2s I've visited have two static wormholes
... so mebbe around 350 C2s with two statics;
- 10 - 15% of c2s with C4 static and around 25% with C2 static.

I reckon that leaves us with pretty close to 70 C2 systems that have C2 and C4 static.

It's possible that they might include the following (some that may be current homes to friends have been removed from list): J100033, J100447, J100640, J103422, J103716, J104115, J104210, J104820, J105000, J105203, J105321, J110823, J112614, J113108, J114055, J114758, J120442, J120619, J120928, J122124, J122832, J125721, J130209, J130222, J131107, J131240, J132559, J132918, J133015, J133419, J135703, J135809, J135910, J140112, J140308, J142239, J143359, J144426, J144546, J144956, J145155, J145316, J145759, J150137, J150341, J151250, J151615, J154515, J154538, J154606, J154858, J162430, J163138, J164130, J164931, J165357, J172551, J172556, J174449, J212319, J215537, J215736, J230207, J231517, and J234942.

Of course that could all be completely wrong. In fact it's way more likely to be wrong than it is to be right.

So basically this thread is useless.

Sorry dude but unless you personally have been to all the systems, this "data" is moot.

What? I was pointing out that there was a flaw just in quick glance at the data. Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I wasn't looking for help, merely pointing out a significant error, one that is probably not alone.

I have not been to all of these systems. As I said in my original post, these data are taken from www.staticmapper.com

The numerical values are number of constellations not the number of individual systems. These data encompass all of jspace.

Oops! I seem to have made a typo while tallying things up. I counted R05 as being c3+HS instead of being c4+HS. I'll edit that in my original post. I'll also follow with a post containing my raw data in a few minutes. Hopefully that was the only typo.

For your additional information...

There are 2,497 wormholes, of which:

348 Class 1 wormholes
524 Class 2 wormholes
495 Class 3 wormholes
505 Class 4 wormholes
512 Class 5 wormholes
113 Class 6 wormholes

That information is pulled directly from the CCP static data dump.

No, I've not been in every one of them either. However, a couple of days ago I entered my 1,000 wormhole... and of those, 749 were occupied at the time I entered them.

(I've actually probably been in quite a few more than 1,000 wormholes. I didn't start tracking them till a few months after I started actively living wh space)

While I can't use this information at this very moment, I've in fact been looking for something like this in the past and couldn't find it. So thank you for taking the time and digging through the database(s?) to compile this stuff. Just great information!
