Each implant will be listed under the Destroyed items: section, with an (Implant) marker (similar to how some items in a ship kill have a (Cargo) or (Drone Bay) marker now). This is to enable a clear distinction between implants carried as cargo in a ship, and implants fitted to a capsule’s pilot.

Just wondering as im no web developer, isnt this just making more work. Pods dont have cargo bays anyway

This. People should be able to display their vanity even on killmails.

Iceland, 2 weeks ago:

A dark, cold and dusty room with "FIS" written on a post-it note on the door. Suddenly the one person that has been alone in there for years hears a noise outside, the door is kicked in and people starts pooring in. " So this is where the actual game has been made.."

Include clone grade as well please!

KM whoring ruins this game. Logi are crippled by it(the need to km ***** to prove you were in a fight save people!) and it leads people into ******** concepts like the idea that a self destructed ship somehow isn't a loss for your enemy.

By being a KM *****, you are losing fights that you would have won if you had stood back and said 'Yeah, they are DEAD!' because they are getting your tears over them losing a expensive ship.

While the isk war is important, its led people into forgetting that the winner of a fight is he who achieve his objectives, even if he lost 3 times the isk worth of ships. You get tiny alliances claiming they won because the alliance could only field a fleet with less than a single of the aggressors ships, but managed to get 1 lucky kill.

No, no killmails for self destructing. Please, no more killmails at all.

Bring sanity back to how the victor of a fight is decided, and quit penalizing the force multipliers who don't actually shoot anyone while they make the difference between victory and loss.

That's your opinion, but you are clearly a tiny minority so nobody will or should do what you want ;-)

Easy work-around for Logis: Use combat drones and assign them to a fleetmate. Repair drones contribute very little anyway, and dps is always good, too.

Better long-term solution would be: Make the system smarter. If someone is killed by someone, and the second someone was repped by another someone, then the third someone should also be on the killmail. Properly marked as 'support' or something. Same could/should apply for people who used support modules like remote sebos.

Not showing Logis on killmails does not only screw logi pilots who'd like to have a record of their involvement, it also falsifies many kills where one party was repped by (neutral) logis. On the loss mails it may look like one ship achieved solo kills against multiple opponents, when in reality he was supported by five neutral logistics.

Some people may dislike killmails, but >95% of people think they're important. So make them less buggy, smarter and more meaningful. This is actually a small but very important aspect of the game, as everyone can see by watching the reactions in this thread! I think CCP could earn a lot of player gratitude and respect with relatively little development effort here.

I would rather see CCP taking the turn towards showing LESS information in killmails.

There are less and less tradesecret – all you want to know about someone can be found on BC, which kinda demystifies the pilots that some of us look up to. What?

Edit: On a second note. Changes like this – more information in killmails – strikes unevenly against small gang / solo pilots since a module / implant fitted on a solo pilots ship / head has a much greater effect on his hers combat abilities than a module / implant fitted on a ship that is a part of a larger gang. Greater disclosure of combat capabilities becomes more and more detrimental as your gang shrinks in size.

Sure, it's not the end of the world for small scale PvP – but it' not a step in the right direction if we want to fight "the blob".

Well then, use it to your advantage when the enemy does it, or kick idiots within your own ranks who make you lose battles by doing this.

Finally.

This and the destructable/player controlled custom offices are a step in the right direction, after the disappointment with the capital changes it starts to look slightly more promising now.

well, I'm kind of looking for the "don't like"-button
why? For the same reason as regular killmails.

I don't mind killmail showing who killed whom and the obvious stuff (like pod or kind of ship).
But for all the rest you should have to salvage the wreck or scan the corpse.

At least, it seems to be a low resources feature, so I hope that not too much time was used for it.

could pods drop salvage parts that are needed to make lower grade style implants that are temp in use and have a lifetime no longer than a month ? this would help to balance a pvpers chance of losing his implants and being many sp behind the +5
impant characters that never undock and are scared to pvp with them in

also if the implants have a short lifetime should not effect the implant market as much ?

could the pod mail contain vanity items lost ? Blink

awesome change all the sameCool

Think he meant that self-destruct should yield a killmail if someone was shooting them at the time. Granted, in the case of subcaps this shouldn't be that much of an issue, but when you start dealing with caps and supercaps it should give a mail.

Perhaps a "Good Effort, you almost got him" mail? After all self-destruct, for whatever the reason, is still self-destruct. It should stay as is just for the LOLs.Twisted

Yes. A failed-to-kill mail.

The moment you undock you not only consent to pvp, but also to not receiving a killmail for a self-destruct and possibly not finding suitable prey during the next roam.

In this new dev blog, CCP Masterplan reveals the future of pod kill mails.

Pod kill mails with the implants listed? sure why not, but is that what your spending time on, really?

- Fix High/Low/Null, get them mixing a bit at least! (gate security enhancements, small holdings, alerts, so many options)
- Add ships, always loved (and you're doing this so great)
- Put incentive to be in Null
- Make Null not selling your soul to alliances

so much to do, and kill mail details while 'nice' shows that the focus is wrong!
