Questionable UK gun laws aside, my only concern is his brain damage. Generally i think military people know how to handle a weapon better than most and with some luck would be more disciplined about when to use one, but in his case reality could be tenuous. If him forgetting his daughter is the only thing that's happened so far as a result of his injuries, then he should still be given the benefit of the doubt.

On related note, this kind of reminds me of this. So it might not be too different in the US soon enough.

Do i detect some elitism? I suppose it's warranted.

You are slaves.

Slaves are not allowed to have guns.


In countries where we have guns, people are also slaves, but it costs a lot to make them think they are not slaves.


Take Egypt for example. Their elected leader just declared himself dictator. Big mistake. Now the people know they are under a despot. He will probably never even manage to do half the things any American president did, mainly for lack of funding and the minions being too smart to forgo their own rackets and corruption (American minions working for the state are well payed to be very very stupid). Yet we think we have freedom here. I've been to these third world armpits where there are despots who think they rule over everything while everybody does whatever they want, and come home to everything thinking they are free while complying with the decrees of despots who call themselves by other names.


The end results are no different. In the former, you will pay off the local corrupt cops to get away with making a living. In the latter, you will pay high taxes and operating licenses existing from laws passed by corrupt politicians, voted in by corrupt people who think they are free.

As long as all you ever do is eat, sleep, work, and play games, you will never know how bad it is. Once you try to do more than that with your life, your first dealings with tax laws will let you notice that shackle on your ankle.

The state, meanwhile, concentrates on guns. Those are just tools. A lot of bad people will be going out face down.

Surely he would have known what the laws are, and even then, whomever gave him the gun would have known in the UK guns are a no no.

Easiest thing to have done would have been to nullify the gun, making it unable to fire live ammunition. Once completed, the solider would be given the gun and allowed to keep it as the momento it was intended for.

Neut it and give it back to him ffs.
