Best ISK/Hr Ratting (Guristas)

Looking for the best ISK/hr ratting sub-cap setup, currently tried both a nighthawk and a tengu and seem to max out at around 10m/tick...

Ive heard some players can get 30-50m/tick but still have not found a thread relating to guristas.

What are the top 2-3 ships/setups for this?

I can rat solo in my Gila and pull in 14 mil a tick consistently. You sir are doing something wrong.

Ships using HML's are not optimal for shooting battleship heavy rat spawns, not sure what you mean by ratting as some refer to anom's as ratting in 0.0. If this is what you mean.. You need a BS. A kite raven can get you better ticks than a tengu for this type of work.

You should be getting at least 15-20mil per tick without much effort in a Drake or a Raven - depends on what the tru-sec is for the space you're in.

Also if you don't have at least 2 BCUs in your lows as a missile boat, you need to rethink your fit.

I drake can't kill the rats quick enough to get ticks that high.

It all comes down to application of DPS and the Anomoly you do. (also number of people fighting over those anoms in that system)

In my experience if you know what your doing you should get able to get 23-25,000 isk per unit of dps per tick doing forsaken hubs.

For example, a 600dps drake/tengu solo should expect to get c.14,500,000mil tick.

The current 'top dog' in guristas space would be a Vindicator. With top notch skills and implants you can achieve 2100dps which translates to a c.50,000,000isk tick!

I have seen navy domis with 1550 - 1900 dps getting c.30-40mil ticks.

Best possible set-up i could see would be a Vindicator with an alt giving fighter support.

Yep, a Vindi with fighters from a thanny. The vindi should be shield fit (does not need to be cap stable!). Three mag stabs, three tracking enhancers and a dcu in the lows.. If you run hubs with this the best i have broken was 67 mil tick.

A Naga running forsaken hubs will beat a Tengu any day. A Vindi is better, but for the price, a Naga is one of the best ships you can use.

What about a HAM Tengu? Doesn't the tracking and falloff of the Naga decrease the effective dps compared to a HAM Tengu with a target painter which will apply full dps in a forsaken hub?

You can easily get 20mil a tick with a HAM tengu and working fast.

With a HAM Tengu and serpentis in forsaken hubs with speed tank, 4 cn bcu's 5% implants, lvl5 skills, rage and 2 tp's you could easily pull 30mil+ per tick.

Sentry Thanatos with an alt in a Noctis makes me around 40-50mil a tick (doing hubs,when I can be arsed), thats not counting escalations either.

Only thing that beats it is multiboxing vindis/talos/nagas.

Progression should be whatever you are using > t1 blaster naga/talos > vindi.

Ratting sucks. The best way to get the most isk per hour is what ^ he said but I hate taking 1 billion isk bs in 0.0

When I was in 0.0, my max was 36 million a tick with a maxed out DPS tengu (around 720 dps) and 5 fighters. I keep hearing blaster ships are the way to go; so go look into that.

As someone else already said, either Vindicator or shield Navy Dominix. Especially as drone damage modules are boosted in coming patch-expansion.
