bounty hunting

Just curious, but what would be the thought of instead of just paying off the bounty hunter in ISK. Also, the character that had the bounty on his / her head, when killed, they have a 12 - 24 hours, or more, denial of release from station. Make the "Criminal" a little more careful on flying around, knowing that there is a real consequence if caught and killed. ISK to the hunter and a delay to the hunted. Just a thought

There is already consequence

Sec hit you can engage a flashy red when ever you want
Hisec becomes dodgy
soon the new bounty system

and last but not least why the hell would we pay for a game we cant undock you do realise alit ppl actauly work and want to log on blow up pixels be it yours or our own not be forced into a vertiual time lock prison

Also you seem to be under the impression that only 'criminals' will be the target of bounties. I could easily just place a bounty on you for no reason other than making this post on the forums. What then?

People pay real-world money to play this game, and being a criminal within the mechanics of the game is not a EULA-restricted activity - any denial of access to paid-for time in-game as a consequence of EULA-approved gameplay would be criminal itself. Consequences for in-game EULA-approved activities can only be applied in-game. It's not a very good thought. Keep trying, though.

And seriously, why penalize people for ganking more than they are?

Additionally, with the new bounty system I can put a bounty on your whole alliance in one click for a mere 100 million isk. Your idea would make shutting nullsec down trivial, and make it impossible to reship for big fights.

It would also make it easy to win wars in highsec, all I need to do is drop some iskies on a corporate bounty, wardec your mining corp, and every time you get killed, you can't mine for however long, and I don't even have to station camp you to achieve this.

Your idea needs to have a little more thought put into it before you open your mouth on the forums about it, unless you like being trolled.

The bounty system is just going to be another thing for bored, rich players to use for laughs. In less than a week a few bored goons will have placed a bounty on every freighter pilot in hi-sec for no other reason than to laugh harder when they read the forums. Miners will be next.

Absolutely agree with op, A+++++++++.

Game mechanics that restrict the play time of belligerent undesirables are the best solution for curbing violent behavior, and should be implemented as fast as possible. The game will surely die otherwise.
