Invitation mining ops?

I am looking for invitation mining ops or wouldn't mind tagging along with a corporation for theirs. Following the same rules and such of the other members. Mainly I would like to mine and sell on location, near jita or reasonable prices, get orca support, and chat with people while I mine.

I am getting tech 2 crystals currently and max refining skills. Which will take about 47 days including mining drone 5. So you know I can already pull in nice m3 I have tech 2 lasers and exhumers 5.

you're best off looking for a corp that does this and joining them. people are a touch paranoid about inviting strangers to fleets full of fragile undefended ships.

I think you will find friendly Orca pilots who will let you join their mining fleet and give you mining bonuses. You're probably less likely to find someone 'on the hoof' who will let you join their fleet and buyback your ore though.
I agree with the other reply that you would be best to source and join a good active corporation that is running a ore buyback program. But not one that is going to screw you over and pay you an insufficient rate per m3.

the problem is for buy back programs to work you need to aim them at single account miners without max skills.
otherwise you're not going to be able to offer a competitive price.

the fact is a buyback program can't pay jita prices, which is where any sane high sec miner will sell his minerals (or any of the big trade hubs). the way to offset this is with providing boosts that means even at a lower rate of isk/m3, they will make enough extra m3 via boosts that the buyer gets cheap ore, and the seller pulls in more m3 than he would on his own.

with the autonomy of the ret/mack, this margin is even smaller than it previously was. this problem is confounded when you're trying to pay a flat fee for each jetcan of ore.

ad hoc things like this are just a pain to set up and run, it really is worth investing the time in finding a high sec industrial focused corp living in local space that you can join.

Whats your local area you frequent / mine in for corps that you see often. Start up talking with them and see if they would be interested in letting you join their minin op(s).

I would suggest offering to mine with them and they buy the minerals from you (at jita prices). This way they don't need to deal with setting up contracts, you don't have to deal with hauling / selling etc. Hell offer to sell them the minerals and 10% of your yield. If they have an orca with a minklink implant you'll still be making 40% more yield per hour, and without the implant you'll still be making 15% yield.

The best way to approach them is to make it worth it for them. You mine, they haul, refine and pay you out in isk. Win win for everyone.


Also when it comes to refining / processing skills train up for highsec T2 crystals first. veld, pyro, scor will take like 1 day each for T2 crystals. You can get all highsec T2 crystals in like a week. And if you're never going to mine in null/wh dont waste the 30+ days for ABC ores. Plenty of other things to train that are useful.
