Orca fitting... am I doing something wrong?

Hi everyone,

I have recently started to try and fit an Orca for my alt to use. I'm just wondering about using Cargohold Optimizations: They seem to add nothing to the capacity of the ship! It is currently sitting at:

400,000 for ship maintenance bay
50,000 Ore Hold
40,000 for every other hold

I have fitted two Large Cargohold Optimizations 1's and two Expanded Cargohold 2's. Did I do something wrong?

The Maintainance Bay, Ore Bay and Corp bay are unaffected by any module or rig. They will not get any bigger or smaller.

The actual CARGO BAY is what is affected. With Industrial COmmand Ships at level 3, 3 large cargo rigs and 2 T2 expanders, you should have about 86k m3 of space in the cargo bay.

PS: Just for the record, the Corp Bay has 40k m3 space between all the divisions, not each.

Yes, you fitted it with cargo expanders.

A proper Orca fit is one with a suitcase and reinforced bulkheads in the lows, shield expanders and an aux reactor in the rig slots, and an MWD and some hardeners in the mids. Yes, you lose a bit of cargo space, but it's a much better ship that way.

If you do decide to go all out and risk it as a thin walled cargo boat, you can get a bit over 100k m3 out of the cargo bay.

I see no rigs with either the word "reactor" nor "auxiliary" in their names (excepting the armor ones), and why not fit an ASB? Or try to squeeze in 2?
