I think it would be an awesome idea to utilize the players that are running dual display.

When in space:
Main screen would have your ship flying, mods and cap, etc
Secondary screen would have your chats, maps, system info, etc.

Windows would be able to be dragged from the main screen to the secondary, or vise versa.

When you are docked up:
Main screen would show your ship (or in captains quarters)
Secondary screen can show maps, and whatnot

Once again, windows can be brought back and forth between the two displays

As technology advances, this becomes more of a common practice to have 2 displays. Hell, i have three going right now. This opens up so many options for the players. Just a thought though.

what nikon said, i just run 2 clients on my 2nd monitor (doing alt stuff) while i focus on my main using my primary monitor, so if the maps and stuff are to be added on the 2nd monitor like in some RTS's (supreme commander being one of them), that might become more of a annoyance then anything else

Under the esc menu options,

1) Change to windowed mode, apply
2) Slide left / right edge of window to where you want it ( mine is ~80% of the second monitor ), apply
3) Change to fixed window mode, apply

Enjoy your full screen on main monitor and as much of the second one as you like.

I use mine to watch moves while hauling!

You can move your capacitor by dragging the readout from its centre (on the cap readout itself). That took me a while to figure out. There is room for improvement but its not horrible at the moment.

This is how my screens look at the moment with 2x 19" wide screens,

I think the OP is suggesting the abiblity to break out the windows. For to example have the star map one one screen and a a view of the ship in station in another.

If he is that's a good idea.

Yes to undock the windows being able to move them with keep the main display on monitor 1 but moving the contents to monitor 2 (chat windows , market windows etc.)
