Incoming bounty nonsense

To be honest, I haven't been paying the least bit of attention to this new bounty thing. I expect I'll try and make sense of it the day I undock and get smoked with no warning. But until that happens, I'm just not that interested in it.

There are plenty of vanity bounties for sure, but that's certainly not true for all of them. I myself have a small bounty set entirely by people I've peeved off. I had every intention of letting it grow until someone managed to pod me, but now I'll be taking it myself before the new system erases it.

Edit: Not to say ego isn't part of it -- I often try to keep my sec status just below -1 so people have the option to put more on it. P

I think I'll add a few millions to your bounty once Retribution hits, out of spite.

Edit: If everyone who left this thread willing to place a bounty on the OP sent 10m to the pool, it would add up to 400m or something like that. Looking good so far.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

OP, I don't agree. I think it very refreshing that in the future putting a bounty on someone's head (in game) is actually going to mean something. And not forking over the money to the one you 'hate', as it is now.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

Just thought I would point out that when you dive into Retribution, you will be unable to place a bounty on a Dev or ISD character.

The correct answer is to allow the Dev bounties to accumulate and be displayed, but have more DevFleet events.

Actually, sex status is an inverse of sec status. It's a well known fact that pirates get all the booty.
