Stuck at the station!

I signed up today and are having problems at the very beginning, at State War Academy. I´m supposed to get my Pilot Certificate by visiting the "Academy Office", and according to the tutorial "open the stations inventory and loot all". I´ve spent 1 hour trying to get this and also to "inspect the different ships at the station", can´t get to those either. I walk the short distance to the small room with the tables and screens, but can´t figure out what the hell to do! I must have missed something fundamental here...Cry
Please help!!

Click on the inventory button on the Neocom for starters.

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Neocom_panel

If you are in the Captain's Quarters (CQ) you can also click on the ship holograms which brings up buttons that can be clicked upon to do the same thing.

If you are in the hangar, not the CQ [if you are walking around with a body, you are in the CQ], you can right-click your ship and open the cargohold, which gives you the general UI for all inventory.

Undock. The certification is not in the station. Make sure you've accepted the mission first.

Once undocked, you'll see the mission name top-left. Click on that and you will get either 'set destination' or 'warp to location' depending whether where you're going is in the same system.

OK, that made kinda sense, because I´ve tried everything inside that place.
Much obliged, Ms...

There is nothing to be found in the station environment, ever. All your interactions with the game happen either in space, or through various menus and windows. In fact, many people prefer to completely turn the station environment off to speed up loading times when docking.

CCP might implement some kind of station-based gameplay at some point, but as of right now, there is nothing other than the room and a walkway to your ship.

You can click on the mirror and play with your hair! :D

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com

Like others above me mentioned the thing you are looking for is not at the station you are docked at.

Here's some clarifications:
- The captain's quarters that you have when you character is walking around provides nothing to you functionally, it is a sort of unfinished feature the devs are still working on. There were riots about its development stepping on fixing other problems so don't expect to see this for while. Most will recommend to change over to the ship hanger as it has the same functionality without half as much of the processing power needed to run it. There is nothing the tutorials will need from the CQ itself.
- The station you are going to be looking for is outside. It's going to be a "scenery structure" in space so it's not a "real" station. You can't dock with it, the thing you need will simply be in a cargo container nearby (a diamond shape).
- The ships they were talking about. When you get to the station there will be two rows of ships making a path for you to the station. These will be copies of all the Tech 1, sub-capital ships of your race. You can hold down the Alt key while clicking on them to focus your camera on them.
- The place they want you to go is called "deadspace". It's space that cannot be accessed normally via warp drive. When you get there you will have to enter into the deadspace "room" via an acceleration gate. To get there you need to make sure you have accepted the mission for Aura and then right click in empty space while undocked in the correct solar system. The menu should have bookmarks to the mission location near the bottom.
