Am I the only one that suddenly thought of a bizarre version of that Murray Head song?

"One night in Deklein and the world's your oyster..."

Be careful in Pulsar systems, you might get Pod Flu.

No, it's because you're a racist bogan who should probably watch Fox News a little less and calm down.

In Firefly they do not have this problem.

BTW: Why is EVE China free now?

They had to change providers in china (to tiancity) and as a result their EVE was down for 3-4 months, so now its free to play for 3-4 months as a compensation or promotion i guess.

Wow it was down for 3-4 months!? Shocked

Someone needs to visit China and see all the anti...well, anti-everyone propaganda posters littering the streets. Or visit Japan and see the signs outside businesses that read "JAPANESE ONLY" and "NO GAIJIN ALLOWED". I'd say even the most racist Americans are pretty tame compared to numerous other popular countries...

Or better yet, try opening a branch of your small business in China, and see if you don't get screwed over by locals encouraged to take advantage of the laws that will rob you blind. Lol

Chinese laws. I don't think CCP are allowed to host chinese servers or something, which is why they have to use a chinese company.

It's the same with WoW. Some Chinese company owns and runs the China WoW servers.

There are ways around that, as anyone who's ever been spammed by a gold farmer knows all too well.

There was an incident a couple of years back that amuses me, however. Sister's husband (RL) used to play a game called "Battleground Europe," which was run by this pissant little nothing company over in Texas. With an ever shrinking number of subscribers, they got so desperate for cash that they did what every other MMO on the planet has done and made a deal with China. Boom - Chinese servers up and running in an alternate universe where only Chinese people played, and ne'er the two shall meet.

Yeah, right. Within a week the Chinese players had side-stepped that security wall like an Olympic pole vaulter going over a speed bump. But this was a FPS, not a MMO, so they weren't gold farmers - they were players. Just curious players wanting to see what the American server was like.

The funny part: He said it was the best time to be playing that game in years. Remember the part about ever shrinking subscriber count? Overnight the number of players in the game multiplied five times over. He said it stopped being a "ninja snipe" game and "actually felt like a real battlefield again."

Then they tightened up security over in China, the Chinese players had to go back home and the original American game went right back to slowly dying.

Anyway, that's my/his funny story. Hope you liked it.

While China no doubt conforms to your racist wet dreams, as a long-time resident of Japan I can only say that I've only ever seen signs like that a handful of times.

Mostly it's signs saying 'no tattoos' and stuff like that.

I live in Beijing and have for a while now. You don't have a clue what you're talking about.
As far as small business goes, yes. You need to be careful who you trust and work with. But that's the same anywhere in the world.
