New sounds in Eve

For those of you that have not heard the new intro log on theme this is it

Also, with the new sounds is there going to be new music as well? If so, is it by the same artist? I believe his name is Jon hauler.

Eve has sound!

One of the recent "In Development" videos from CCP features some details on the new sounds incoming. See here. (Ed: not as much details as maybe you'd like, but it also features CCP Guard going crazy with a shotgun, so it's all good)

Also wow that new Retribution theme sounds great.

Yes. The "Inferno Funeral Dirge" was tiresome from Day 1 on Singularity back in March.

Like the new intro. Wish that they would make the intro music longer and after each expansion is done add it to the in-game music. That way its not lost with the next expansion.

Great idea, as long as they leave out the Inferno dirge.

If I had to guess from the way game music is tending to be implemented recently, it means that the music gets more "exciting" and fast-tempo'd when in combat, while lulling to more peaceful tunes while traveling, mining, etc.

We also want the old eve login themes back into the game. Please CCP, don`t let those pieces of art get lost in time.

The game that did this best, imho, was Syndicate from BullFrog back in the '90s.
I know, this sounds stupid, but it's actually comparable.

As soon as enemies got closer, the music faded into a faster tune.
Completely fluid.

This *might* be a reason why i'll turn the music on again ...

Where are composers names ?

The main composer for Eve music is Jon Hallur. I don't know about others, and I'm not sure which CCP employees are members of Team Clang (who are responsible for in-game sound).
