Very long Market order updating?

For almost 2 days, my orders on the market are delayed by hours at some points. A sell order for ore I put up yesterday failed to sell and it has taken hours for the materials to be deposited back into my hanger.

Now I put the order back up and want to modify it; yet 30 minutes later its not even showing up in My Orders tab.

Anybody else having problems or has there been a CCP post in regards to being aware of sluggish Market performances? Getting pretty annoying at this point.

Never experienced such lag. At most we are talking about seconds of delay until an order shows up.

You sure you didn't accidently put it up as corporation order or something? Thats the only idea I can come up with.

I double check everything, everytime I go to see if they're showing up; besides that theres got to be something wrong although I have a hard time believing that my client alone is having problems. I'm not lagging by any means anywhere else as far as I can tell.

Pretty quiet here in the Market forums, I'll give it a bit then if nothing changes, I'll throw a post up on GD and see if I get any bites there before the post most likely gets moved.

Bleh.

I think if you let an order expire on its own, you have to wait for down-time before it re-appears. If you manually cancel it, it will show up immediately.

You are correct, and here's why: the order hasn't expired yet until the DT script deals with it. It is merely hidden from the market browser.

You can see this behavior sometimes when people talk about having the lowest sell price and yet they are getting no sales: there is an (as yet) unexpired sell order lower than theirs waiting for the DT script to deal with it. In the meantime, it still satisfies purchase requests EVEN THOUGH the market browser won't show it.

Addendum: it may help to understand that the market browser and the market broker are different elements of Eve. The market browser is what you use to view buy and sell orders. The market broker is the thing on the server that matches buy orders and sell orders.
