Items cannot be listed among the character's valuable assets, only skills, implants and reputation. You are buying/selling the character ONLY and nothing else. Ships and items can be readily bought on the market for ISK.

Rules on the sell forum.

I will offer 4.5 bil ISK for the character without assets. I will buy the assets off you after I have the char for 1 bil ISK.
