According to this Dev Blog, we wont see battlecruisers or battleships balanced till next year.
What about faction ships, T2's T3's and Capitals?

At this rate it will take until winter 2014/15 to finish this balance, why must it be so slow?

Weapons need fixing, drones need fixing, shield and armor tanks need re writing not even started on the basic universe we fly in.

Is Eve in beta? As far as I can see everything needs work.

CCP hire more staff, work overtime and get your ** together, you are on the right path fixing our spaceships but hurry it up please.

I, too, find that floggings improve morale.

Why not enjoy the game that everyone else is happily playing, rather than focussing entirely on what is not working for you?

feel free to stop playing, and come back in 2 years

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Why troll a serious question? Grow up

1 Question, why can't they balance all the ships in 1 expansion? 6 Months is a long time.

Not really, but the priorities are wrong, balanceing ships is something that needs to be done in 1 go else you end up with what we have now, ships with blurry roles, whole ship classes in fact.

They are trying to give every ship a reason to exist but dureing the process they are killing other classes and we have to wait for another 6 months for it to be fixed, only for another bunch of ships to be made mostly useless.

I'd like for CCP to balance capsules, first and foremost.

EDIT: No, it isn't. You balance everything at once, you're going to run into problems along the way because things synergize with each other. Thus changing several things at once may have unforeseen consequences.

I hope CCP will start to work a bit faster having Star Citizen on horizon. I remember Wing Commander was somewhat fun...

It takes time to redo that much of the game. Stomping your feet, holding your breath until youre purple, screaming at the top of your lungs and crying and throwing yourself on the ground wont get you that new barbie corvette...err what you want any faster. Perhaps being patient and not being a walmart 3 year old will get you what you want.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Ship balancing and game development takes time. Lots of work goes into before you even start to code it into the game. Even then when you start to rewrite or add additional code to your base code you have to proceed slowly testing and observing what the changes do to the overall game.

As others said, you don't just take a hammer to your code and not expect bad things to happen.

man check the games market. .. And please stop that bullshit I know that you are probably no-life fan-boy but please .. stop that.. Ship balancing should be done in one expansion. Its not that hard to add new attributes to the database even 3yrs old from walmart can do that ... and even 3yrs should know that

Another troll but actually you bring up a good point.

I don't want this, I want my ship to have a place and role. When Retribution hits as all T1 cruisers are getting a balance/buff in a way this is a nerf to T2 and faction variants until they get there fix in 2014...

Because obviously it will take another expansion for more ship changes, they couldn't possibly add more in retribution 1.1, then 1.2 then 1.3... oh wait.
They would also not go back though their big heap of changes within this time for finer adjustments before moving on... oh wait.
Because the community never comes up with unique fitting situations that exploit new numbers... oh wait.
Why would they work on the most broke first, its not like there is a huge discrepancy in t2 and t3 fleet boosters... oh wait.

you can't change too much at once.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value
