Hello! Ive been recently thinking... are Amarr ships able to solo missions with Angel Cartel etc that require you to make other damages than EM & Thermal? or is it a must to do Amarr faction missions that (I suppose) dont give you these kind of missions. sorry for bad english.

As I am a minmatar pilot and I would love to try out Amarr ships for a change but I dont want to ruin my standings with Minmatar, this is why Im asking this :)

You can use any races ship while doing missions for Minmatar, if you have the training for them,
so yes - you can use an Amarr ship without doing any Amarr missions.
Although against Angel Cartel i wouldn't use an Amarr ship since they are crap against the Cartel.

Your offence will be diminished since Angels have good resists to EM and thermal. Your defence will be diminished since Angels do explosive and kinetic, to which your armour tanking has low natural resistance. On the bright side, Angels like to get up close, so you can use multifrequency crystals for max damage... and you don't have ammo hassles.

So yes it is certainly possible, but not optimal. You will find missions take longer, and are harder to tank. To maximize missioning ISK/hr you should stick to Maelstrom, or move to Amarr space.

you CAN do it but you shouldn't. amarr ships are the worst against angels, because they have low explosive resistance whereas angels have very high EM resistances. if you do not want to move to amarr space, stick with minmatar or caldari ships.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Thank you everyone for your answers :) so I would move to amarr space.. but does anyone know if there is certain amarr corp that doesnt require you to kill other factions (caldari, gallente, minmatar) in their missions? or does all the agents just give random mission? (Im abit newbie to missioning as my primary income is from mining haha)

i am not 100% sure but all agents i worked for so far have always had at least some anti faction missions. they are rare, so you can just decline them usually. also notice that if you do not want your minmatar faction standings to go down, you have to decline all storyline missions for amarr.

I should buy an Ishtar.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the possible use of the Amarr missile ships (Vengeance, Sacrilege, Damnation), though those are all t2 ships.

Another possibility is the use of drone ships?

Drones/missiles will do away with the standard em/thermal damages if that is your goal, while still using the Amarrian hulls.

I don't believe any of the specific combat agents ever don't give you anti-faction missions. However, you can choose to reject them every 4? (correct me if I'm wrong someone) hours without a standing penalty. That way you can go through and choose which you wish to take, thereby missing the ones that will hurt other faction's standing.

The other possibility is using distribution agents, but I am guessing that isn't what you are looking for.

Only thing worth reiterating is as Daniel said, storyline missions will affect your standing with the republic. So if you want to bump your faction standing up for the Empire, you will likely have to lose some of your republic standing.

Thank you again :) I'll have to consider.. Missile ships could be one way of course, but my first intension was just to use amarr hulls in Minmatar corporation missions like republic fleet etc.. as they give you some missions with factions that have high resists to therm & em thats why I was wondering if amarrian ships can work trough those. but thanks for the answers everyone! :)

There are zero plobs in using them in angel space, takes a little longer, thats all. Just switch the drones and you are set.
P.S. Geddon is recommended, due to 5 zerks.
