With the off grid booster getting screwed its viva la falcon

Hi,
Myself and any others have booster alts that will soon become worthless and why is that? Because T3 boosters have no tank. The whole strategy to keeping a t3 booster alive is by keeping it unseen. I know I will have trained for ECM by the time this happens. ECM is so nice and powerful and I cant wait to hear how most CSM's will be bitching next year because everyone keeps a falcon handy. The reason you dont hear many people bitching about ECM now is probably because most of the CSM culture uses it as a win button.

Because everybody knows that CCP loves ECM in its current iteration, and actually wants to buff it while removing OGB's.

I'm pretty sure that they've said before that they dislike the binary nature of ECM, and that they want to do something to change the mechanics... That's also why they're nerfing it somewhat, and adding skills to counter it.

Also, can you really justify OGBs? Can you justify having a huge bonus to some very important stats locked away safely in some POS field, requiring no effort and no risk to imrpove your performance?

Couldn't you just put your boosting alt in a heavily tanked command ship or something?

For people bitching about ECM I havn't seen any official response from CCP about it. Most electronic warfare has a maximum of around 60% percent effectiveness to start with but yet ECM can have 100%. Even the main defense mod fit on most ships can only lower that effectiveness to around 50%. When you look at for example a tracking disruptor and tracking enhancer you start with 60% TD effectiveness. Then, you defend with a tracking enhancer which lowers that number about 30%. So the numbers are pretty close to right as far as attack/defense goes but overall the effectiveness needs to come down. After that you will also need to slightly beef the caldari recon's tanks.

And to Nikk Narrel, I am going to use a falcon as a win button in small fleet fight in place of boosts or maybe even quit that toon because all that money I wasted on subscription fees to train for something just because of the mechanic will soon become useless. Its really not all that unfair to begin with besides being able to activate links inside forcefields or use prop mods with links active on a t3. The majority of people dont know how to scan or are too lazy to get/bring a scanner. Maybe CCP can make scanning a little more dumb friendly?
