what i'm saying is that pretending that this stupid wardec system or that any of the fluff being added in Retribution doing anything to encourage PvP is a hilarious fallacy, the end goal is to make hisec a risk-free themepark because CCP is dead-set on attracting every type of player possible

shame that they'll be holding the welcome sign at the door waiting for the stampede of new subs which simply won't come

Oh gimme a break that's B.S. and you know it.

Corp 1 is a pvp corp with around 12 members looking for lolz and a fight
Corp 2 is another pvp corp with 10 people who only fight highsec indy corps

Corp 1 dec's Corp 2. Corp 2 runs to a giant alliance to dec shield corp 1 and screw em over while the alliance now gets to ram head first into the small pvp corp.

How is that in anyway awesome? Or are you one of those pro-blob pvp'ers?

How to push own players out of game? simple, prema wardec, make people more emo rage like miners etc, wardec them forever and force them to play like other want or and go play tetris etc. Roll

So let's say instead of Dec shield Corp 2 runs to a mercenary group, pays them very well, and the mercenary group blobs the small pvp corp.

IS this a bad thing too?

tbh, in terms of small gang warefare so many pvp'ers like to tout as what was once the great thing about Eve?

Yes.

Yes.

If small gang warfare is such an integral part of wardecs, then why is it that corps always bring the largest fleet that they can to hunt WT during war? I mean aside from griefers deccing indy corps and some other minor exceptions this is usually what happens anyways. SO why is dec shield relevant to small gang warfare? Most of the guys I know that like small gang warfare don't rely on the silly war dec mechanics to get people to shoot at, they roll out to low or null. Even then, what is small gang warfare other than a small blob? Some dudes do engage when outnumbered or against the odds when in a small gang, but I would say the majority of them will pick fights that they have a very good chance of winning. IS bombers bar small gang warfare? They are a small gang of stealth bombers that constantly hotdrop 1 player that is in a BC or cruiser or w/e.

IS dec shield even really blobbing anyone? All the anecdotal evidence I've seen points to the opposite. The claims I've seen are that the big bad dec shield is generally of no threat itself. I mean you can argue that test syphoned wars from them, or that RvB (i heard) syphoned/is syphoning wars from them, but this is no different then if these 2 alliances were just to straight out declare war on these corps in the first place. The only difference is that they aren't paying a measly 50 mil / week for the dec.

I really fail to see why you think that dec shield has any relevance to the blob. The only issue with dec shield atm is that you can get free wars. The rest can be accomplished without dec shield existing.

I joined DecShield, so i can grab all the mutual wars against all the wardeccers.

Over ten thousand people to shoot at freely ... that's pretty awesome in my eyes.

I'm not sure of the mechanics of it but, your corp joins then becomes war decced by ALL of Dec Shields wars. My old corp fell for the scam, became permanently decced, then got 122 decs. DO NOT JOIN DEC SHIELD.

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

Exactly the reason why i joined.
Thousands of targets at no cost.

Why would you not want that ?

edit: also ... just noticed ... so you admit you have no actual clue about how it works, but you just HAVE to puke out
your opinion about it being a bad thing to do ...

Or just disband corp, then reform. Sure it costs ISK to form a corp. But I bet it will be less than replacing lost ships.
