Loot tables in Q/Null

Lately, I have been completely screwed over by :CCP: in loot drops in Querious.
Running numerous 8/10s, getting only overseer affects each time.
Every faction spawn is empty except for a crystal.
I have done an A-type escalation, all the way to the end, to have a completely empty overseer wreck.
Lots of sites wont escalate, when the fateful day finally comes when it /does/ escalate, there's nothing dropping.
Pristine mag sites give out 10 Mil in salvage, and radar are an even bigger waste of time.

How am I truly this unfortunate and unlucky?
Is anyone else in Q getting nailed this hard? In the rest of 0.0?

I am going insane over here, constantly running sites, getting /nothing/ every time.

Assuming a 5% drop rate, your odds of getting something become approximately 50:50 after 13 overseers.

(1-(1-.05)^13)=0.48665791672049488525390625=~48.7% chance to get something after 13 overseers.

So rounding to a straight 50% chance: after 26 overseers, that's a 75% chance to get something...
After 39 overseers, an 87.5% chance... ect...

If you've nuked around 40 overseers... you could simply be in the unlucky 12.5%... (again, assuming 5% drop rate)

The Random Number God is a fickle one.

Its in my opinion that the 8/10s have the rarest chance of drops. I too pretty much get just the OSE..

The 7/10s have IMO the best chance of some good drops.

The 10/10s Ive run recently have been good to me.

8/10s I see as a decent money maker but not to xpect anything in the can.

The random numbers truly hate me so then.

I have to plex my accounts so for the past two weeks I have run atleast two PVE sites a day,(I can get more mags in, but less complexes)

It literally gives me jack **** every time. I am almost pulling my hair out its so terrible.

Perhaps my luck will look up soon then eh?

I think it's just bad luck. I'm having my fair share of non-escalations and bad drops, but it's pretty fair.

On average my loot drops (not in querious though) are fairly reasonable. The only plex that screws me every time is the angel 8/10. I did it 4 times already and got box 4 times. The 7/10 version is doing great for me though, 5/6 times I got something and I've found a machariel bpc there. I dunno about the 8/10 plex but If I get loot it's some domination stuff in the first few rooms, the station never drops something for me.

Self destruct a shuttle near the sun of the system where the plex is. With a corpse of your own race in it, Best if it is actually your own corpse if you can get it after being podded.

This should appease the random number God, in W-space refereed to as BOB.

The funny thing is the numbers do always balance out. You may be on a bad streak right now but the longer it stays bad the higher chance of you getting multiple drops in very few runs.

A friend in the null sec corp I used to roll with has this happen to him. After about two weeks of constant plex running with no drops he got good drops from three plexes in a row. Be patent the numbers will swing back to your favor eventually.

There are players in EVE who actually believe that CCP has in fact coded a sort of God blessing into the game triggered by certain actions. This blessing is supposed to actually influence every thing in the game related to that character which involves a random number.

How can a random nuber be influenced? Well it is easy. Say you chance of a officer drop is 5%. The random number generator is asked for a number between 1 and 100. if it is 0 to 95 you get nothing. If it is 95 to 100 you get the drop. This blessing supposedly adjust the chance of a drop to 6% or 10% increasing your chances.

While I am very doubtful that CCP actually coded something like this into the game. it would be really cool if they did. Talk about a massive immersion mechanic. Adding an actual religious element to the game where doing the will of your Chosen God or the God of your race would actually affect your odds in the game. This could be stretched to cover anything from loot drops to hit chances depending on what sort of sacrifice or obedience you practiced.

There are Amarr players in the game who role-play the religious side of their character. Not to mention the number of W-space players who believe that sacrifices to BOB do in fact affect loot drops. I would actually love to see such a mechanic added. It would be a simple code change to modify the %chances in the game. the trigger actions could be described in some criptic books that would drop in certain area's or revealed by running missions for some Religious Leader Agent in game.
