Agree witht he OP.
Even with a lot of possible improvement and adjustement still needed FW is actually one of the more fun gameplay around. The hybrid PvP/PvP is working very well here. And is accessible and fun good for a large chunk of players: experienced players as well as entry level for newcomers, solo players, small or big corp and so on.

There's still some more good fixes on the way in Retribution but I agree. Right now FW is the best part of EVE, way better than 0.0. I only wish there was a pirate FW faction that was at war with all 4 factions, yarrrrr!

I agree, FW is a lot of fun these days. Glad to hear you guys are having fun Big smile

Indeed. Our weekly FW fleets on ER have been some of the most exciting fleet events I've ever been a part of. What a great part of the community.

I've been scrambling to relocate my fiscal empire out of Minmatar space so I can join Amarr FW...

I'm literally staring at sell orders waiting for them to go away.

Does anyone have a link where I can read about how FW works in detail? I ask for something more comprehensive than the evewiki wich is covering only the very basic aspect of the FW. I wanna try FW soon as it sounds more exciting than the pointless battle in the null sec... at least FW is about lore and defending you nation, not other people egos and wallets.

Has anybody found the loss of standing with the opposing faction to be of any problem? Is that how people are tending to choose which militia to join, or are there other considerations before you decide?

I'm sure, but for now I prefer a npc corp, so I need to figure out by myself how things work in FW. And I have a lot of questions without answers.

My bigest concern in FW is the diplomacy. I'm gallente but lately I got attracted by the amarr lore and their beliefs, so I would join their cause and fight to crush the minmatars. But at the same time, I don't wanna mess with the caldari as I have a deep respect for their nation and politics. Problem is that caldari is helping the minmatars... so how can I avoid a conflict with the caldari and also join the amarr war? I kinda hate to fight against nations/people I dont really like to fight... Ugh And ffs, why the amarr and caladari fight each other, both nation politics are based on fanaticism and dictatorship while gallente and minmatar fight for freedom... something is not right.

They don't, you have the entire political landscape backwards

Amarr and Caldari are allied

Also try reading up on the Khanid Kingdom. They have stronger ties with the Caldari than the main Amarr Empire and thus have better missile tech. This is why all of the black and blue T2 Amarr ships designed by the Khanid Navy have missile slots and bonuses instead of lasers.

IMO, FW should be 100%% PVP. I was going to join to get away from missions. Imagine my suprise that FW is loaded with missions. Sad

I just turned into an egg, did I level up? I spent an hour trying to salvage a wreck, when in local a guy said "Stop it, this is my Tempest, I was AFK"

Dammit, I have missread it : amarr is at war with minmatar and with their allies the gallente instead of the correct version amarr is at war with minmatar and their allies the gallente. Now all makes sense, thanks! Will be fun to fight minmatar and gallente as.. gallente :P

And thanks for the sugestion, I kinda rushed the game without giving enough importance to the lore. Time to catch up. Thanks again.

Depends on who you join, for me in the Amarr militia the only loss for me is Gallente and Minmatar space, which I never visit anyway (but I do love those Gallente stations). But if you join Gallente or Minmatar you're effectively locked out of the two biggest trade hubs in the game, still Dodixie and Rens are fine for buying the things you'll need

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.
