70's robot mini series?

I vaguely remember a show that was on TV in the late 70's? maybe a mini series?
It was about an android that was nearing the end of his life and left on a walkabout to go find the graveyard or heaven that all of his predecessors had searched for when they were near death.

I think it was around the same time and had a similar feel to Logan's Run.

Anybody have a clue to what I am talking about?

Late 70's? Ummm... not in the US, right? Drawing a blank. What was the country and time slot? Cartoon? Like 9am Sat morning cartoon in Australia or something?

That would certainly explain why he remembers it being similar to Logan's run. Lol
