Automatically activate modules

I would like a way to automatically activate certain modules whenever i undock, uncloak or after i jump. This is mainly for things like DCUs and active hardeners, mods that use little cap but are very important, when on solo roams, and to not distract a pilot when trickier things must be managed like cap, active tank, damage application, etc.

I disagree. This will limit the need for pilots to pay attention - All details matter. There have been a few times I didn't pay attention to my guns over heating, my point or keeping my tank active after being a neuted. The disadvantage of not being able to micromanage these and pilot my ship correctly lead to my own death.

i was thinking this would make it easier to mange said details. there is NEVER a time when you shouldnt have a low cap usage resist mod on like a DCU or invuln, why waste time and thought turning them on?

If you take that mentality, you might as well make it a passive module without any management at all. The point is, you can get capped out at 0 and you will have enough cap once you recharge to operate it. But may miss the cycle, this ability to pay attention and put it back on could literally be the difference between life and death. I firmly believe in pilot error as a game mechanic that screws up over - Even on simple details.

Nope. This is a good way to spot bots in high sec.

I dont see how, its like driving, you dont turn the car off each time you cross an intersection, but that doesnt mean you totally lapse concentrating and enter a trance each time either, it just saves clicking a few buttons each time. The only ones who would lose to such a change would be station undock campers and gate campers. Who among them are really elite and valid in the pvp arena anyway?

Also i think being actively ewared is different to a completely automated function such as exiting a station from the hangar or appearing in the next system and as such reengaging previously active systems cant compare. If anything i'd rather have no cloak after a jump but have all my hardeners turned on. Anyone in dangerous space still has to move out fast as always but at least they cant get 1 hitted off the field by some guy in an arty ship with a ton of sebos (or maybe they can but not as crazily as a ship with no hardeners lol) /shrug

The only auto that I would like is for my weapon modules to pick back up firing again after reloading.

I think yes and no. It could be good for laggy situations. I think everyone who has died to lag on undock or gates agrees with that. On other hand i think it gives too much automation making pilots survavibility depenant of automation in situations where it should be pilots reactions. So at the end of day i think maybe not..
