Advice needed from the denizens of EVE for some friends

Recently i was talking to a group of lowsec/highsec players who have said that they want to make the jump to nullsec but are having problems finding a suitable location to get started.

Questions.

1. There are about 30 of them excluding alts who are looking to make a home for themselves. They normally organise small gangs, banging away at passing trade. And they do this nightly and it brings them to most pleasure in this game. In there end of lowsec they are the tops of the food chain and they prey on the bottoms that pass through.

What is the best instrument (3rd party or ingame) to use to decide where a successful insertion into nullsc were they can find their rhythm without having their back doors blown off by the locals as if it happens to many times they will end up limping back to highsec.

They dont mind being part of a standard nullsec daisy chain but if they are on the recieving end of a beating to many times then its highsec for them.

(they have caps and logistics and can spend as much time as is needed to look for a place)

I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

Why do they want to go to null sec for?

Maybe they should go to npc null if they want to stay small and not wanting to deal with what is suppose to happen in null sec.

Well they could try to get into syndicate. Read jester's blog. Rote Kapelle is cleaning the trash there so small gang pvpers and stuff can move in and operate there.

If they want to try Low/Null they should look around for an NPC region, or a quiet Low-Sec pocket. Use Black-Frog to move their stuff in and investigate the locals.

30 isn't enough unless they plan on living in NPC 0.0.

Sov 0.0 is for empires and nations. Not small villages.

You think you're all badass and stuff but look, you're just another care-bear.

How about just DO IT, get your back door blown off a couple times, have fun while you do it, and eventually you'll learn enough about the politics and the regions to be able to make a more informed decision. It's just a game. Even if you lose everything you ever earned - so what? You can always get it back - even faster now because you know what works and what doesn't.

Listen kid

You really should read more. I like to visit Nullsec i could not abide living there permanently. Lowsec is my prefered home.

This post was for a group of friends of mine who needed advice and its been coming thick and fast.

So unless you have something constructive to add then please keep your pointless teenage musing out of my thread

I think I've given you the best piece of advice in this thread. Not my fault if you fail to recognize it for such. I'd be worried if I was your "friends", though, if they knew you were relying on GD for the "advice" you give them.

Calling someone a 'kid' and insulting someone for being a 'teenager' (wow what a terrible thing) seems pretty pathetic to me. Just saying...

It's a stupid question. If 'your friends' (rofl) want to join an alliance then apply, or if they want to give it a go as a corp then go to NPC space. The only advice I can give is that you join an anger management class.

Please then show us examples of 30 man corps living unmolested in non-npc null then.

This is a good example of people seeing what they want to see rather than what's there. Null Sec is "might makes right" land, if you want to -live- there you need lots of friends in one way or another.

WE ARE THE TOP OF THE FOODCHAIN , WE ROCK .... just don't kill any ships of us because we'll run back to empire.

Owk ....

The bolded part is why they and people like them don't belong in null sec (or, in my opinion, EVE in general).

I went to null (Syndicate)the 1st time with a corp I joined in faction warfare (FW being my 1st real pvp experience), we formed an alliance with some locals and ended up pretty much dominating Syndicate for months. We made a coalition with other alliances and tried to Cloud Ring. We took a couple systems but the effort drain our cash, so the corp left the Alliance and Joined ATLAS.

Was good for a while, then ATLAS folded, and I joined a buddy of mine in a corp in IT Alliance. IT got rofl-stomped and some guys from my corp joined -A- but didn't like it and left for RAIDEN. RAIDEN got rofl-stomped and I ended up in NCDOT till my corp decided to go elsewhere.

Point of that story is that I've been rofl-stomped out of null sec almost more times than I can count now, I swear if I see AUROHUNNEN or CHAMEMI one more damn time I'm going to pull my hair out (lol). And yet I keep going back, because I like null sec isk and pvp (I like all of EVE and have toons everywhere including my hauling and incursion alts in high sec, but null sec is the best).

Null Sec requires commitment, acceptance of risk, acceptance of both the potential and reality of FAILURE and the ability to shrug it off, bounce back and get "back into the game". If your "friends" aren't like that, Null is just not for them.
