OTEC or why is Tech so cheap atm?

Out of curiosity I just had a look at the Technetium price status.

I heard that around those Tech moons is much fighting going on and various OTEC agreements have been violated. The current decrease of prices don't seem to follow an overall logic. Or is it that alchemy thingy that takes effect?

I just don't understand null sec players.

I can agree with you. With new, cool, redesigned Rookie ships Im cool with my Reaper. I have everything what i need. Can mine, fight, steal things. I cant cyno jump but nothing is perfect

I'm not sure what tech is used for precisely but maybe the huge influx of cheap faction items from FW has reduced the demand for some Tech II items

Fuelleride and nanotransistors is what is made from tech.

I would say that the buff to mining barges would have had more of an impact than FW supply of items. about 50% of the cost of a mackinaw for example can be found in the price of nanotransistors.

With the end up hulkageddon and the mining barge buff, mining barges aren't going boom as much. Of course there's other things made from tech, as well as other reasons that the tech price could change, but this is certainly a possible reason for tech being so "cheap".

I would venture a guess that it's a combination of less exhumers blowing up and the new alchemy for tech (has that hit live?) designed to ease the bottleneck.

CCP has no sense of humour.

Telling part of that graph is that volume is down... I'd have suspected that with alchemy volume would decreased some more becuase tech is replaced by cobalt in the creation of platinum technetium

Pretty much the alchemy changes set a cap on the price.
That now they have to either get mass collusion or there will always be an influx of cheaper tech plat that wrecks their control.

Unrefined Platinum Technite says Technetium should be 70K or less to compete.

Technetium is still over priced.
