You have no idea what you are talking about and make too many generalisations. Like them or hate them, they're known for cheering up their noobies and alliance members, maybe this is what you are not used to and refuse to understand.
It's far easier to look it from the outside, just like me, then point fingers and "booo booo"

They're also known for scaming, ganking exploiting each and every single game mechanic failure but it's not like if they weren't playing this game as it's meant to be played, right?

Some times I clearly hate "CFC", some times I love them. in both cases I can safely say they provide an excellent level of player content, and those I already met/discuss with are actually awesome people who don't take this game that seriously as you do.
But then I log in and shoot whatever is not blue/green/purple, and when I do, well things happen Cool

He's been trying to get into Goonswarm for over a year now, and even took to stalking Mittens family. Basically he's upset that we won't let him in the "Cool Kids Club"

Oh and he's been probated for something like 5 years on the SA forums for being a weird creeper.

Ho ok, I see clearly now. I remember that creepy video with RL threats to his family and indeed, it's sad nothing can be done or is being done, professionally speaking of course.

Back to pixels now.

Oh lord, I see that US presidential politics have invaded even the Eve forums despite the best (worst!) efforts of our earnest (protectionist) and patriotic (anti-free speech) ISD moderators. Tom Gerard is just another patsy/foot soldier/talking head/casualty of the two party system with his thinly veiled references to "if the other guy wins, we all lose (i.e. die in the fires of hell/revolution/oppression)!" propaganda paradigm.

/weeps for the forums

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Stalking people over the internet because they won't let you in their spaceship guild is creepy as hell and can be construed as a threat.

Nobody was stalked though. No contact was made, no attempt to find out personal details were made.

Just so you know if you keep repeating it the fabric of reality will not alter so it becomes true.

OP - Your post is a just a bunch of turgid drivel.

Of course what would happen is that other alliances would compete to fill the gap. Who knows what the outcome would be - that's part of the fun of playing in a Sandbox. Alliances come and go but Eve is the constant.

Now what I suspect is that your post is a thinly veiled attempt to state that the Goons are just way too important for the game for their status to be qualified. Once we get to the point when alliances consider themselves more important than the game overall then Eve is well and truly f*cked.

Did you see that EVE influence map that TEST added a bunch of trollfaces to? It was hilarious.

I wish the massive Null Sec blobs could be cut into pieces. Instead of just a few factions controlling the entirety of space, there would be multitudes of Alliances creating a far richer PvP / Political / Industrial / Economical experience in EvE.

Imagine if EvE sovereignty started over. We all woke up one day back in Hi Sec, completely forgetting who the Goons or TEST were. Hundreds of Alliances would spawn, rushing towards Null Sec to claim space, the PvP and tomfoolery would be incredible. But of course, eventually things will naturally settle as they are now; with the blobs controlling everything. But damn would it be fun.

Did you got nuts on these forums and post that you were going to go outside and smash up someone's dog? I'm sure that was you.

Tom Derphard, we lub you.

Lets have the whiners have it, *POOF* Wish Granted. Now that Goonswarm has been utterly defeated, and their characters don't even log on to the forums anymore... What shall we do for player driven content? Shall we travel to Providence and share a cup of tea with the Curatores Veritatis? Who is going to memorize the reaction tables so we can produce Tech 2 ships again?

Hrmm... it seems like life without Goonswarm isn't much fun... how the hell did that happen?!?! The forums told me they were destroying the game!!

With all this bile and anger stirring... why do you still cheer when CCP champions "Player Driven Content" every chance they get?... You do realize Goonswarm is made of players... and they are driving.... content.

By Golly, I think i figured it out, you don't like Goonswarm because of their political system for surely empowering large populations and distributing power among the masses is just wrong!

No?

Ok well then it has to be this "Blue List" thing, your angry because Goonswarm is unwilling to co-operate and co-exist with other alliances and corporations and instead makes them allies and establishes safe transit of good and services through their space. Oh hell that sounds almost like cooperation and co-existence.

OK OK I got it, Goonswarm absorbs all these corporations and turns them into a faceless blob unable to be identified as individuals...no wait... damn it, they won't even let anyone join their corp unless they've been on the SA forums for an extended period of time.

So Goonswarm's list of CRIMES is as follows:

They establish a peaceful network of trade within null-security space.
They provide vital elements of T2 Production to high-security space, at a profit. (Damn 1%)
They provide drama, driven by players, which represents sizable content for Hi-Sec, Low-Sec and Null-Sec players.
They interact with the community in online discussion forums.

Yep, they seem like the bad guys to me.

Without goons this game is over.. Only bots and carebears. That's why this game was so good for many years without them it will be nothing just screen server .. Ccp should start to pay goons.

I just want you all to know, with complete sincerity, there is no sarcasm or trolling or anything in what I'm about to say: Hysterics that cry we are the saviour of this bad game sandbox, and the fools who cry that we are destroying the game; we laugh at both of you.

GSF and the CFC are transient, but Goons will probably always have a presence in the game that will endure as long as Lowtax keeps Something Awful going. We will have organized presences in many other games in the same fashion, too, until we no longer have a common home.

You want goons to die? Get Something Awful shut down, or EVE shut down.

Sorry for the derail. We laugh at you all. Any content we generate is for our own amusement at your expense. And the biggest whiners just paint giant targets on their head for miniluv operations and corporate espionage. We win either way. Whether we stay a dominant Nullsec power or if we have to one day roam Syndicate and npc space, we will always be here, and we will always do the things we do.

Also, Prencleeve, PLEASE move on. You can still enjoy this game without goons. Find your niche and enjoy the game and accept that you will never be blue to us.
