Way to farm Guristas Tags, for Data Centers?

I'm examining the Data Center thing, collecting information and stats about agents and standing.

What I've found is that the immediately accessible agents at the large Caldari Data Center, in Kamokor, the ones that require a fairly low corp standing to get missions from, require the most expensive tags, in market terms. Silver, Bronze and Brass. These sell for millions in Jita!

Over 2.5 million for Silver, about 8.5 million for Bronze, and about 14 million for Brass.

Copper tags can be handed in at 3 different agents (1 of them in Kamokor) and sell for about 600k ISK in Jita.

The other six tag types sell for much less in Jita, presumably because a lot of pilots can skip the Silver-Bronze-Brass thing if they already have enough standing - they need only the cheap tags.

But I'm thinking, is there some way to farm the 3 expensive tag types? It'd be quite lucrative. Presumably if there was a way, someone would already be doing it, as that's usually how EVE works, but I thought I'd ask: Guristas Silver Tag, Guristas Bronze Tag, and Guristas Brass Tag?

I actually don't know what anoms are, or where to find them. Nor how dangerous the high-sec ones are.

The tags drop from rats in a variety of locations, including belt rats, mission rats, plex rats, etc. The drops are rare in high sec but they happen. When I did the Minnie data center tags when I first started, I spent 2 weeks ratting in the Cosmos constellation to get the tags. If your goal was to farm for sale, there are millions of other ways to make more ISK and save yourself the time. If you really want to, focus on Cosmos constellations, missions that feature the faction your aiming for, and going out to low sec and null sec where you'll still have to rat, etc and it will take time, but the drops are more common.

Overall, the standings boost provided by those particular level data center agents isn't worth it. Do a mission series or two and you'll have the standing necessary to skip them and get the better standings boosts.

You want to do all the sites that have a chance for "commander" rats to spawn (sample). You'll also want to check every belt you can for the commanders. The commanders are the ones with the extra word in front of the brand: so an elite Gurista is a Dread Gurista. Those are the rats that have a chance to drop the tags. In highsec belts you'll be lucky to find a copper tag.

If you don't know what "anomalies" (abbreviated "anoms") are, you want to look at the following pages and read them:

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Cosmic_Anomaly (has the names of the sites as they get harder)
http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Cosmic_Anomalies (has some links to learn scanning/probing)
http://swiftandbitter.com/eve/dsp/index.html (has a great chart of what is likely to be found in each pirate region for high/low/null/w-space).

You will want to get Astrometrics to at least 4 and every other skill with "astrometrics" in the name to level 4 also. The tutorial mission that sent you do do some probing is a good one to do as it is very tough to figure out the first time you ever do it. They give you about 6 hours the first mission (or you lose your early completion bonus) and I think it took me 5 hours to figure it out. I usually scan down systems in 10-20 minutes. It takes practice.

Thanks for the links Huttan! I already know how to scan for gravimetric sites, but I've so far steered 100% clear of any other kinds of sites.

Um, yeah. Radar and Mag sites are very very bad. Stay away. Bear

You gave the sell price at Jita, but what about the buy price? Set your own buy order.
