Character bazaar scam question

If you get scammed like on the character bazaar like i did today do CCP refund the ISK you lost due to a Scammer ?
Is it kinda a secure thing

Petition it. The GMs will fix everything and perma ban the offender.

If you get scammed on the bazaar, you should generally get everything returned to the way it was and the scammer be removed from the game.

Thx for the info but i went by the rules and waited for him/her to transfer it but scam instead so even if you go by the rules etc you still have to hope you cant force them to transfer can you.


so rather than being a smart ASS GOON you might want to tell me how you force them to transfer after you have followed the rules spot on


All 22 ccp rules have been done correctly regarding character scams so your full of ****


Wonders how you got Likes received: 5,443 must be an alliance thing

Yup.

It's a crap shoot. Until CCP sets up an escrow service that will hold either the ISK or the character until buyer/seller obligations are met, this will happen.

But when it does happen, CCP is pretty quick to fix it. So your petition will freeze the character and ISK until they sort it out. The bad thing is that although in the end you won't lose anything, it may be some time before they get it sorted. And until it's sorted there is no use of that character (skill training) or ISK.

yeah thats kinda what i thought ccp slow maybe over worked Big smile takes time of course but this character transfer system seems dated which in turn gives CCP i higher work load sigh

Was about to ask if you bought a tengu, afk domi, or falcon or orca pilot. Why you felt scammed.

Expect a wait. They will have to investigate such as where the ISK went and and removing it from player's wallets.

I obviously don't know the circumstances but calling "scam" 10 hours after you transferred ISK and account name seems a bit premature...

Just to make one thing very clear: there are no "forced" character transfers; if you were scammed then CCP will send you back your ISK and that's it. You are not entitled to get the character at the price the scammer had agreed-upon.

It takes X amount of time before a char is transfered if i recall right.With that in mind are you 100% sure the seller was online when you made the offer because otherwise you can count X hours on top of the transfer wait before he actually sees that the money was sent.

Alright, so #1 I was the one who made the original comment, he was simply agreeing with me.

2. You actually ask us questions that are answered in that link, (Yes it is a secure transfer that's why there are so many sanctions in place)

3. I'm all for being a prick to goons, but there's other, more appropriate times and places to do it, and making a dig at how many likes somebody has is just plain ********, this isn't Facebook, nobody really cares about likes.

LOL its a funny forum i feel lost for words Big smile if a goon is going to troll my post of course i will wonder how the hell he has so many likes do people like trolls on forums as its not helpfull info at all there the kinda unhelpfull people i would not **** on if they were on fire.


i only took action 10 hours after the post was made because i could smell a rat
and infact ccp have contacted me and seem to be taking some action rather faster than i thought i was also unsure if the character bazaar forum was indeed a secure system as it seems to fail in some respects just makes more work for ccp.


shock i have 4 likes how the hell did that happen i swear i did not use my alts scouts honor

It takes at least 10 hours for the character to transfer.....Assuming he transferred it immediately upon receipt you would not see the character for 10 hours...minimum.....Oops


And Trolling Goons is always good...
