So there is this "Old" JB module I found in space. Any way to pick it up? I got a freighter there to try and pick it up thinking beforehand it wouldnt work, but I guessed since a freighter is the only thing able to carry it I thought the game would give me a slack.

Any tricks to pick it up?

It is Unanchored.

Freighters (and Jump Freighters) can load or unload cargo in space when close to a POS. So one option is to anchor and online your own POS and grab the JB with a freighter. You can take down the POS immediately afterwards.

The Orca and Rorqual can load cargo in space regardless of presence of a POS, although I'm not sure if either can be fit with enough cargo space to carry a bridge.

if it is anchored then no, if it is unanchored then you can scoop it, you will be unable to drop a pos and unanchor someone else's items also if they are anchored they have a pos near by so it moots the dropping a pos idea

it is 100K m3 in size. I know the orca can not take it. didnt think of the rorqual. Although I dont have one and dont have acces to one.

The module in Unanchored at a moon with nothing else there.

If I put up a POS will I be able to scoop thing outside the bubble? isnt there a range limit from he tower?

Maximum Structure Distance (= max anchoring distance from tower):
* Large: 50 km
* Medium: 41.22 km
* Small: 35 km

Max Scoop distance (from object): 2500 m

I did find this in a patch note:

* Freighters can now scoop unanchored starbase structures. Note that the requirement of being within 50km to an online control tower is still present.

So you should be able to scoop the structure if you online another tower, though there is a chance (it has been a long time since Revelations II) it must be at least the same size or larger of tower as was there before.

The exception being if the structure dropped from a ship that was destroyed nowhere near a control tower, or similarly launched nowhere near a control tower.
