I just realized Ive lost over 560 million ISK to brokers fee due to a typing error on my behalf. Since we are warned when we're about to buy something at a price excess the market standards, we're warned about it - but no warning is given when the seller is about to sell something at a price that makes him pay a totally stupid and almost violent fee to the broker = CCP.

Here's what I've sent to them in a petition:

You know, Im a very pationt man but watching you pulling 560.511 million isk from my wallet due to a typing error on my behalf - WITHOUT warning me as you do when the player is about to pay an excessive marketprice from another player - PISSES ME TOTALLY OFF.

This has to be changed asap and I know theres NO CHANCE IN HELL I'll se those 560 million isk again - THATS A ******* MONTH OF PLAYTIME!!!!!

This one has cost you alot of loality points from me. Im going to the forums on this one. This is a demand on you guys changing this NOW!

Im really at a boiling point right now. 9 accouns that I buy plex for each month and then them snatching my ISK like a greedy human. Im pretty sure Im not the only one that has made this kind of typing error. Who else has lost ISK like this?

meh- CCP has probably 'stolen' lots more isk from me from all the trades I have made since I started playing.

you wouldn't like real life- making more than 45k a year gets you a 25% tax where i'm from- CCP are very gracious with their low taxes

Damn, wish I'd known that I could have begged them for my 180mil I lost to a missing decimal point a month ago.

Although that little lesson has taught me to be a lot more careful so it might have been worth it, plus I made some back when I got sold a drake for 3.12isk so it's all swings and round abouts. In eve you've got to have a thick skin about losses.

It's a kick in the teeth when it happens.
I had a similar issue last year.

Unfortunately it works as intended.
Eve is a Harsh game with consequences for everything.

if you have nine accounts, 500mil isk should not be too much of a setback.

Take a Deep Breath, Chalk it up to "Lesson Learned", and move on with the making of more profits.

it's hard to swallow, but at least you didn't undock in Jita with 52 PLEX in the cargo hold of a shuttle and get blown up.

I admit I was very upset and words were written as such, but no threaths are given and I doubt Im the only one making a typo like this - there HAS to be given a warning. If you jump into lowsec, you are warned since that can cost you a ship et a value like 500-600 million isk - same when you're about to shoot at someone in highsec without agression, which also will cost you a ship that may hold the same value or much more. The point is the principle on this. There should be a warning when one makes a typing error like this excactly like the mentioned examples.

Broker's fees suck

Do you look at the screen when you're inputting numbers? While you're entering in the number, you see big green/red (depending on sell/buy), comma separated output at the bottom representing the total value of the sell/buy. It doesn't take a math major to recognize when that number is many orders of magnitude larger than it ought to be.
