Eve and windows 8

maybe this isn't the right place but how well will eve run under windows 8? I'd expect there not to be any issues but has anyone in the windows 8 beta(s) experienced anything I/we should watch out for?

I had an issue with windows 8 prof 64bit RTM version

amd phenom II X4 940 Processor

6 GB RAM

2 x ATI HD 4800 and after card change 1 x ATI HD 7870

When i had opended the ESC-menu the game Closed as soon as i wanted to leave the Menu.

The only issue I've come across so far was Mumble Overlay causing EVE to crash when changing screen mode. Disabling Mumble Overlay fixed the problem.

as an update i upgraded to windows 8 as of last night. I've not been able to get Eve Online running. I've seen a number of posts around saying that you need to update direct x but that did not work for me. If you're looking to upgrade I'd wait a little bit

same here. It started fine once or twice since I installed windows 8 pro (upgrade), but since then I just get a black screen. I've uninstalled and about to try a reinstall.

Try reformatting and installing Windows 8 from the ground up. I've never had good experiences using Microsoft's shoddy upgrade system. Too messy.

Has anyone figured out anyway of getting eve to load on windows 8 just installed and it freezes before it even loads

Have you messed with the compatibility settings at all yet? Are you running it as administrator?

Yeah tried that i cant even get the log in screen it just shows up in the task bar and says not responding

Upgraded to Winows 8 pro on friday, everything works like a dream... had no dramas at all.

I cannot play since I've upgraded to Wiin 8 Pro.

Got same issues as are reported within this forum for ATI HD cards.
EVE freezes or Win 8 restarts the machine after 5 mins of gameplay.
No other games have the issue (tested: Age of Conan, Steam games: Civ 5, HoMM 5, Diablo 3).

All my 3 accounts wait to set skills to train ;(

I got a problem on dual-graphic cards. My laptop have an integrated and Nvidia 435M. I cannot find my Nvidia 435 in the setting. I could get in the game, but it is too slow. Not playable at all.
anyone have same issue and have a solution?

Please download the latest drivers from nvidia, http://www.geforce.com/drivers
