Hi,

I'll raise this up the chain as it were but can you clarify what's going on ?

Are you saying that when you click post instead of posting it reloads with the saved draft ?

When it does this, approximately how long does it take you write the post?

What browser are you using ?

Thanks.

Line two is exactly what happens.

I've never timed it, but it would seem that anything approaching a minute causes it to happen. I'm not entirely sure exactly how long it's taking me to post everything anymore. I can say that short posts, only a few lines or so don't seem to be effected, longer posts (which I admit I tend to make a lot more of) are when it happens.

The draft reload would be fine, but it doesn't save the format, only what was typed; so you end up with a giant wall of text that you have to go back into and fix all of your new paragraphs; that includes whatever you quoted.

The saved draft does indeed look like a wall of text, but in truth it has preserved your formatting.

If you go ahead and post the draft as is it will appear properly in the forums... at least it always does for me.

Give it a test run, I have myself used both IE and Firefox and had it actually come out fine when posted, but I can't vouche for other browsers (and of course our setups etc. may differ in some relevant way).

My sister-in-law accepted medical opinion that her illness was due to an unknown, unidentifiable virus
a few years later they finally decided that she in fact had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma
a few more years later she was dead, and not in a nice way.

not posting this to scare you (in a bad way), but just don't accept a blase 1st opinion that it's something minor because it's a doctor telling you that it's something minor.
No doctor will ever give you the information "sorry, we/I do not know what is wrong with you", thier egos won't tolerate it.
dont just get a 2nd opinion, get a 3rd or 10th opinion.

Everytime I've posted after it's done this to me it didn't save the format.

I actually have a couple of posts that I've hit the post button again after it's done this to me, out of frutration, and it's gone through as a wall of text that I've left an edit that I refuse to fix the forums screw up my post.

If you're computer-literate, you can install GreaseMonkey (if using Firefox) and write a userscript that makes it easier for you.

On a slightly related note, I've recently noticed that with Firefox + Adblock it is posible to block the crucible.jpg backgroud image the forums use and the migrain-inducing star clusters are replaced with a static black background. It is glorious.

Copy and paste the draft. Works. ..but yes, it is slightly annoying.

Hi,

Just to update you; I've asked the community team at CCP to have a word with the Web Development team about this.

I'll let you know if I hear back anything useful.

Thanks for your patience.

You're very welcome Natsett.

As a fellow sufferer of body vs mind problems, I have complete empathy in this case.

And related that, I've just removed a post that was not in the spirit of this thread, and the posts quoting it.

So on a general note; if you can't think of anything nice or at least constructive to say, then there's no need to click that big ol' post button.

Thanks.

I'm the parent of teen with Cerebral Palsy. Not sure if this is a viable option, but I'll toss it out there. Is voice dictation an option? TBH, it doesn't work all that well w/ my son, but his speech isn't always consistant.

On an aside, being a new player, it's nice to see all aspects of community come together for a fellow pilot.

Fly safe. I hope there is a viable solution for you.

I saw a documentary on people with undiagnosed illnesses some time ago. The OP's case reminded me of a small girl that was experiencing somewhat similar symptoms. An MRI revealed that her whole brain would light up with activity when doing any task rather than activity being localized to the areas typically associated with certain tasks.

I have no idea where the OP lives but in the US there is a center devoted to such mystery illnesses. You can't as an individual request to have an evaluation there but your physician(s) can but that doesn't guarantee your case will be accepted due to limited space.

Here's a link. Office of Rare Disease Research. Maybe run it past your physician(s) as they may not even be aware of it.

Yeeee!

Nope, no special treatment at all and the fact that you're implying such in this thread is really distasteful.
As I said; post constructively and all will be well. Choosing your words carefully is also very advisable at this point.

Just a thought but is there any speach to text programes that could help out here? One of the college kids had a system for doing his work. Wasnt too great but this was 6 or so years ago so it might not be too bad now.

Please fix this CCP. It's making posting on the forums a living hell for me.

Does this include people undocking from Jita 4-4 in a Vexor with 25+ Plexes?

lol, yeah, that's an entire other disability that is indeed suitable for poking fun at.
