I was playing EVE today when, during a level 4 security mission in Chaven (1.0) I saw a destroyer pop into the mission area.
"DON'T SHOOT HIM" Screamed (sorry, typed) Ukko, a corp-mate of mine.
As the destroyer flew towards a wreck to loot it, "He was annoying us yesterday, just don't shoot him"
As I am quite new to EVE, I saw this destroyer and thought 'Ha, a cormorant? I can kill that in one!'.
As I am not very good at EVE, I saw his destroyer blow up my apocalypse and thought "Oh."

It was amazing. Even though he had killed me in what seemed like less than a minute, my heart was beating and he was chasing down my scared corp-mates, as Ukko berated me in chat. However, I had decided that I was done. I quit the corp and right now i'm moving around Amarr Empire space selling all of my stuff. I'm going to move into Nullsec and get blown up many many times over because it is a heck of a lot more fun than treating EVE like a second job and just running missions over and over again. I'd recommend every new player try fighting other people instead of only NPCs, just give it a try inst

Thanks Rin Nuriko

I'd love to agree.

Want a forecast?

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, bankrupt.

Back in High Sec running missions or playing another game.

Finally! A non ragequit thread! Sir, you have my support for not being a sand filled lady part about being blown up. Good luck in your nullsec endeavors as someone like you will have a blast. o7.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Don't listen to him.

Find some friends who'll throw frigates at you all day. For any group with some decent income T1 frigates are the stuff you practically throw at enemies to make them stay still so you can murder them.

I say ignore everyone and go for it. Most people would recommend using Rifters to get yourself blown up but I think someone like you probably has finer destructive tastes. I say officer fit the most expensive ship you can fly and take it right into alliance space. Taunt people in local the whole way and have some fun.

Road trip check list:
- Cov ops
- ORE frigate / procurer / skiff
- Combat / attack cruiser BPO of choice
- Assorted BPOs for fitting parts
- Ammo BPOs

Have fun.

Oh and of course make sure to have a decent NPC station to live in.

that's a wise decision buddy, learning how to fight and all
otherwise you might wind up in l4s getting trolled by cormorants forever

Just bring isk and join an alliance with a decent trade hub and you can skip it all.

oh you'll want a covops
Since you're amarr I'll just recommend going some place which has rats vulnerable to EM/Therm (blood raiders/sansha/drones) and save yourself a headache as far as income goes

First I thought. Oh, loot baited in a 1.0?
Then I thought, Oh, he's new and flying an Apoc.
Then I thought, He took on a destro in said Apoc.
Then I thought, he's passing on advice.

And then I laughed.

Have fun mate. After you've lost the 15th Apoc, gimme a yell and I'll meet you back in Highsec. We'll go and do missions together k Blink

You learned several valuable things in this encounter. The biggest I think would be when your leader types DON'T SHOOT HIM, you shouldn't shoot him.

Thanks for the laugh.
