simple question what decides the price for a characters ,
probably not the amount of sp but most likely the specialization of the character you want to sell ,
but what is people mostly look for, when they decide to buy a character

Edit no i m not selling this character

What "decides" the price is how much someone is willing to pay for that character, and how much someone is willing to let the character go for. There are a couple of sites which help you evaluate the possible market price of a character based on SP (e.g.: Character Appraiser), but they only tell part of the story. You might be able to get hold of an awesome carrier pilot for a bargain price because that pilot has a reputation, and everyone in the world is hunting them.

How much would you be willing to pay for the "perfect" Thanatos pilot, if that character was going to be hunted till the end of days by a bunch of folks in Pandemic Legion who have alts all over the place and will have a supercap fleet on top of you within 10 minutes of logging in?

Character buyers are looking for characters that fill specific roles.

Some real examples from characters I bought:
- lvl4 mission runner
- Tengu pilot
- fleet booster
- scout (covops, covert cyno, probing skills)

A narrowly focused character has the advantage that it is generally easy to find a buyer who is looking for just that role.
Selling a character who can do t2 invention and pilot a Nyx for a good price would require you to find a buyer who is willing to pay for both roles which is going to be difficult.
You can't realistically expect the buyer to pay for SP he has no use for.

There are some exceptions once your character starts to approach completeness (e.g. a pvp pilot who can fly all subcaps with godlike support skills might fetch a nice price) but in general less SP + more focus = more ISK/SP.

Character sellers often cut corners with support skills - while these are in practice very important they are unlikely to be on many buyers' checklists and often having a skill not injected at all is preferable to having it trained to lvl1-3.

If you are looking to sell a character that was not specifically trained for resale you should consider investing 1-2 months worth of "polish" into the character before putting it up on the bazaar.
Make sure your character has the signature skills (Recon V + Cyno V, Logi V, ...) for at least 1-2 desirable roles (depending on the SP total) trained and fix any ugly holes in your support skills - if you don't do that, you will probably have to sell for a low price to some reseller who will flip your character for a nice profit after investing that extra month of training.

PS: the character appraiser linked by Mara above is a reseller's favorite tool (to crush the hopes of inexperienced sellers and pick up cheap characters) as it tends to give very low estimates.
In return many sellers put a password on their eveboard pages (which they then share in the sale thread) to prevent you from loading their character into the appraiser.
