Do prefer the ship spinning screen or the captain's quarters screen?

Sadly, i am gonna go for ship spinning for now.

I like the idea if having a CQ, but there is NOTHING to do in there other than playing barbie. The extra loading time to CQ beats it's actual utility whitch is 0.

Sure i will use CQ from time to time, but not that often.

I will prefer CQ when :

- I can actually invite a friend in it. What's the point of being in a cage?

- When i can walk in the station, which is unlikely to happen soon.

- When i have something to do in it. Right now you can sit or look at a mirror, all the rest can be done from the ship hangar. That's not enough.

Right now, CQ is nothing more than a doll box. It has great potential, but for now i would rather use the ship hangar.

FiS should be the priority, but WiS should not be burried!

Don't encourage CCP to make empty promises or Incarna will happen again!

Don't load station environment. That way I don't have ship spinning and also not offerring me CQ. If I don't want ship to spin I even more don't want stupid 3D CQ.

and oh BTW I want to stop my station services/selected item/overview windows to stop dancing now too.

At the moment bounty system doesnt work - you just collect your own bounty.

But if you had to PHYSICALLY collect the bounty from a shady bartender, in Rens say - that might work.

At the moment, illegal items trade doesnt really work very well. If the trades took place in an alley behind a tattoo parlour, with nobody then knowing they were then transferred into your cargo hold - not even customs - then that would be a great incentive to go walking around a station looking for someone who seems dodgy.

It would also suit the mood if pirate modules and ships could only be bought and sold this way. I.e. no escrow or whatever they call it these days, just develop a reputation for selling them from your fancy digs in whatever station. People could leave you an evemail to meet them for the trade. Sure its messy, but that would be the point. And buying things would take a little personal business acumen as well as isk, instead of just having the cash. The guy might not sell you that cynabal because he doesnt like your face.

ANyway, until there is real immersive gameplay going on in there whats the point?

I like both. I really like being about to dock to ship spinning and then exit to CQ if I am there for a while.

This... FiS > [Hanger] > WiS > [Hanger] > FiS

Spinning, wont ever see stupid ass CQ again. Wish they would get rid of that black box to toggle it as I don't even want to think about the CQ being there.

You do realise that if you turn "Load Station Environment" off then there is no box?

And to the OP: I don't really care that much but I do like how the ship is the focal point in ship spinning.

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

Spinning totally.

I used the door over CQ as it doesnt hold any interest for me.

So I am very happy to have spinning back.

It's got to be ship spinning for me too, CQ was too slow and the door was kinda boring, though I might turn it back on at Christmas to see if CCP hang a wreath on it :)

^^ That, with the addition that if station environments were forced, I'd still prefer ship spinning.

To put that into perspective, in the one day that has passed since we got ship spinning back and a quick and easy way to go from one to the other, I've been using CQ for more time than I have in all the time since it was first introduced. In other words, it's the simplest and oldest of lessons: let me choose, and I'll use the fancy new toys at my leisure — force me, and I will throw them in your face. P

I prefer the hangar view for one very simple reason, docking/undocking only takes 3 or 4 seconds from the hangar, i was waiting anything from 20 seconds to a minute when i had the CQ active, even when i was looking at the door.

Don't get me wrong i love the CQ but the amount of resources it takes up is terrible and that coupled with the pointlessness of it without any other WiS components made me sigh in relief when we got the hangar view back.

I don't know about you guys, but I prefer flying in space. I get stuff done there. But when I go back to the station before logging off, or finsihing a mission or some other thing. It will have to be the captain's quarter. My satisfaction of seeing how my ship looks like is sated when I am out flying it.

The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't.

I like the option that you can choose ingame between them , this is how it should have been from the start , the option to choose between them in game

i like them both tho as a true amarrian i miss the sound of the old amarrian stations , anybody saying otherwise is a heretic and should be purged ( cough cough)

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire
